These planes are low priority and this is when they undergo major overhaul. |

But let a serious war break out and see how long those planes stay grounded. Keeping a military in 100% combat readiness is impractical. It just doesn't happen. As far as the army is concerned they like to keep 1/3 of divisions combat ready. The others are maintained well enough that they can be deployed in 90 days or less. |
