Been further damage can't occur until it tops the ES.

From what I remember last night and looking at design drawings,

850' is the TOP of the MS gates.

The debris blockage CANNOT be inspected or removed unless water levels drop to about 820'.

This is impossible with no flow through the Hyat power plant and/or the bypass tunnel that the valve is disabled to.
It cannot be opened.

There is no path for water to go below the MS gate level
at about 820'.

As the water level drops below the top of the gates at 850' the flow would be further reduced because of less door area to use. Does this make sense?

Any lower lake level is going to be impossible.
Therefore there will be no "inspection" or removal of debris blocking the gates.
There is no path for water below the gates. They are both disabled.

I suspect they are fully open but debris blockage is limiting flow to 50% of what we saw days ago.
I believe MAXIMUM flow now is LIMITED to 60,000cfs.
(With higher lake level pressure would increase and flow would slightly increase from 55K even with the blockage.)
If/when further damage takes out the remaining MS ramp they will NOT be able to close the gates to prevent erosion all the way to the gates themselves.
