Heel-and-toe,

Does anyone actually use their heel and toe? I cover both pedals with my foot straight, keeping the ball on the brake, and hitting the gas with the side edge of my foot. This is a euro car, and the brake and gas are close while the clutch is farther away. I always thought they were close for this reason.

I was trying to explain this to someone and I realized that I had no idea why its called 'heel-and-toe'. Is it a trucker thing?
