I thought the same thing while wondering what this means for the rest of us.
It seems the trafficking aspect is of well intent. I hope the drug/cartel half is strictly cartel level.
It does kind of make sense to do some cleanup before removing the restrictions on drugs.
Think of operating legit businesses in gang territory. I think he will eventually remove the DEA but it looks like this is what needs to happen first. I naively want to trust it.
Where does it stop though? There is the same definite potential for abuse.
I think he sees a job to be done, this will allow it to happen, then will no longer be needed.

If it's prolonged and over-reaching or non effective at getting real targets I will become opposed.
