I own a Victorinox automatic watch. Excellent time piece. From what I understand Tag Heuer is similar in price and quality.

I have a Carrera. Would continue to wear it and never replace it even if it stopped running - which is unlikely. In fact, it will probably get me killed one day...worth it.

$40 Timex with large LCD display.Great watch.

Tags aren't shit just not as prestigous as they used to be. Go for a Breitling.

I have a vintage Tag Formula 1 and it never gave me a problem but my daily wearer is my beat up 1980 Seiko pro Diver....it went thru a few combat deployments and construction work afterwards.....its tougher than a ten cent steak.....

I have recently been researching them as well and have found a surprising number of negative reviews on them mainly regarding the movement. Because of this, I have shifted to looking at Omega's, Zenith, Bell & Ross and even like a couple of the lower priced IWC's. There is a website called Hodinkee.com that reviews luxury watches. Agree. I had seiko divers 600m , citizen aqualand, rado divers and others.

But I always end up using my Casio 1500T. Nothing else compares.

I had the chance to buy an Omega moon watch. It was made for a left handed astronaut . The guy only wanted $700.00 . I saw it at his watch repair shop. My wife did not wanted me to buy it.

So, I just told him that he was asking way to little for it. He took it to a jewlers convention and someone gave him $7000 for it on the spot.

Ha ha you are right Casio makes a pretty cheap high quality product....most don't even cost 20 bucks....and they are waterproof to 50 meters most of them, and the illumination at night can't be beat.I used one scuba diving for years and it never leaked or malfunctioned....that watch lasted me 14 years...on only 2 batteries....it still works , but the frame broke where the pin fits for mounting...really tough watches...have one on now..... 7 years old...original battery.....150m resistant...cost me $19.95 plus tax....can't beat it
