President Trump’s New Order – No More Obama’s Transgender Restrooms!

President Donald Trump has asked a judge to cancel a crucial hearing in a legal appeal over an Obama’s rule regarding transgender bathroom use.

The Obama edict threatened schools nationwide with the loss of federal funding if they didn’t allow boys who say they are girls and vice versa to share bathrooms, showers, locker rooms, and hotel rooms on overnight school trips.

Family Research Council president Tony Perkins said the Justice Department has taken a “welcome first step.”

“We are hopeful that the Trump administration will formally withdraw the Obama edict so that parents and schools will remain free to protect the privacy and safety of every student,” said Perkins.

“We are proud to lead a 13-state coalition against the Obama administration’s latest illegal federal overreach,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement at the time. “This president is attempting to rewrite the laws that were enacted by the elected representatives of the people, and is using the threat of losing federal funding to get schools to fall into line. That cannot be allowed to continue.”
