I remember back in the 80's my Aunt screaming, "Get it
here! You gotta see this guy eating the turnbuckle!!"

That was the first time I saw George and his colored tongue. Man, what a character!

I remember watching this guy battle Chief Jay Strongbow.... and getting beat bloody (fake).

Did you know he was a college professor!

Yes, he had a Master's Degree and was a wrestling coach.

He is also an author......I saw an interview where he was out of character.....articulate speaker.....

RIP. saw him when I was 13. a kid spit on him walking by and he went nuts...chased the kid

79 yr old is a good run.....wrestlers today die young.....he wrestled back before steroids use was widespread....

A memorable and entertaining character from my childhood.I am pleased to see he was actually an intelligent individual, who was an accomplished academic. I always thought he was a brilliant comedian and showman.Thank you George for the memories, sleep well.
