He was basically torchered for the reason to split his mind, create alter-ego's, the alter ego was then programmed by some nazi fucks and he was used as an assassin.. He was able to kill someone with thoughts but there was groups of people like him all using thoughts to kill the enemies..

Hard to explain but there is a google video which goes into pretty good detail, I just saw it awhile back and can't recall all of the little details. I believe there was a part in the video where he warped from a couch , through a wall and was standing at the front door.. Mind over matter type stuff..
