Anonymous Coward User ID: 65071911 United States 02/21/2017 12:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Crazy how they didn't get any rain for years, then out of nowhere they get dumped on like this over and over and over again, never saw anything like this. I pray for the flood victims, I know how that is my house and 4 of our other family homes down the street got flooded last August and we are still recovering from it. Ours was a 100 year flood that had no warning or chance for us to save any valuables it just hit out of nowhere and ruined so so much of our things and houses. Word around town is that a stone quarry up the mountain had a holding pond break, which caused all this water we got but they won't admit to it because it was millions and millions of dollars worth of damages. When you bring up the stone quarry at the meetings they have, a few professional shills who pose as flood victims will shoot you down real quick its crazy. Flood victims don't get shit for help either when compared to other natural diasters, most smartass people say well that's what you get for living near water!, when personally I don't live near the water what happened on my hill was the drains got clogged up and backed up into our basements. A church in my back yard had 4 ft of water in their basement which collapsed it. We got about a ft and a half, so we weren't that bad just enough to ruin all our clothes, furniture, and appliances in the basement though. No heat, hot water, washer, dryer, all that was ruined and it took a while to get help. |

The San Joaquin itself is nearly at flood stage and the waters from the dam are going to overwhelm the Tuolumne, another tributary. |
