A kingdom sounds noce
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 62941631

Where do you place yourself in the kingdom? What kind of kingdom? And, if you are at the top of this kingdom, what kind of ruler are you?
 Quoting: It's A Secret

I place my self the queen of my castle. However I envision many castles. Where I am I see no rulers per say because those there have already passed to get there. I see a program like soul paths one can take. As for what type of ruler of my kingdom I am, an honest one, a humble one, a lover, a creator of beauty.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 62941631

I have built something similar. :)

No kings or queens though, and communities, not kingdoms.

Still planning it...so I'm "building" it in my head.

The perfect little cabin in the woods.

I would grow gardens for aminals to eat, and set up natural shelters for deer, turkeys, and other critters to thrive.

Lots of mature trees. I would add a few fruit/nut trees and grape vines every year.

A creek full of fish.

Plant a few black wallnut trees for future income.

The list goes on & on but you get the idea.

Serious question, I'm truly curious.

Whatever our belief system, ideology, or politics, we all have built in our minds our own perfect place, heaven or hell, or something entirely different, for what happens to us after this life.

So, what are you building?

Something like this, but on a bigger scale.

There are beautiful, neglected park areas throughout the poor neighborhoods in Milwaukee.

There are plenty of unemployed people around who can work in them.

Much of the work of restoration is very basic, involving removing brush, dead wood, and invasive species, as well as garbage.

People can get restoration grants from the Federal government to do that work, and I want to convince a lot of other people to get going on it.

I'm working out a proposal to work on a specific piece of neglected hillside over Miller Valley.

At one time it was a "Lover's Lane" style walkway, carved out of the side of the hill, and paved and buttressed with flagstones, and lit by electric lights over 12 feet tall, all along the length of the path.

Trees have fallen over it, and dead wood and brush choke the hillside.

I need to go to the historical society to search for old pictures of the path, and to find out who owns it, as well as why it has been neglected for at least 50 years.

I figure I could do a basic restoration, with minimal natural impact, and possibly new lights in six months, if I can get enough to cover rent, living expenses, and some basic tools.

If I can pull it off, others could do it, and I want to help them and encourage them to try.

It was a program Obama set up, which seems to have been underutilized. (It also seems like money that should have been revitalizing urban neighborhoods was redirected into welfare and other programs.)

It is a project for the next six months or so, but I'm making other plans for the longer term.

If the project falls through, I need to be ready to go.

It could fall through.

I dread the confrontation with the park service.

I've had a lot of experience in the past with park extremists of every sort - the worst being from the Federal government.

The worst want mankind to take his hands off nature.

My bitter enemies.

I want human hands all over nature.

Every corner of the planet where any improvement can be made - people ought to be doing it.

Nature dies without man.

I have to disagree with your last sentence though. Nature would do fine without man, it is man who dies without nature.

Man certainly dies without nature, but nature can't do well without men.

I'm a traditionalist. Man was created to tend the garden.

The fallen world can't return to the garden, but it is ever more in need of tending.

Nature is to be subdued - a more extreme version of cultivation.

Plants need birdsong.

As Jesus said: "How much more important are you than a bird."

Plants need more than song from humans.

Earth, is the great recycler, and I understand the desire to have the body somehow give back to the planet that supports our lives.

I have heard others say this, that they don't desire to somehow go on after death of the body. Some are simply tired, others have known too much pain, and for some it is simply their choice and truth.

You feel as if you're coming from a place of pain. I hope I am wrong, but if so, I am sorry.
