Russia, also officially the Russian Federation, is a country in Eurasia.

At 6,592,800 sq miles, Russia is the largest country in the world by surface area, covering more than one-eighth of the Earth's inhabited land area and the ninth most populous, with over 144 million people.

The Russian economy ranks as the twelfth largest by nominal GDP and sixth largest by purchasing power parity in 2015.[30] Russia's extensive mineral and energy resources are the largest such reserves in the world,[31] making it one of the leading producers of oil and natural gas globally.

The largest cities are Moscow (12 million), and St. Petersburg (5 million)

Russia's 160 ethnic groups speak some 100 languages. But 142.6 million Russian people speak Russian, which seems to lead the pack.

Russians have practised Russian Orthodox Christianity since the 10th century.

41% are of Russians are Russian Orthodox Christian and another 4% are Unaffiliated Christian. which leads to 46% Christian.

According to the Constitution of Russia, the country is a federation and semi-presidential republic, wherein the President is the head of state. The president is elected by popular vote for a six-year term (eligible for a second term, but not for a third consecutive term).
