Totally stupid statement from May, Romania is already facing demographic collapse due to low fertility rates, it would be impossible to have half the population leaving. Again same exagerated statement Farage made. Romanians are aware they are not welcome, we have quite good gdp growth (50 percent), the only people willing to move around are either young people - less and less of those thou, and highly skilled people. We really do not need either to go as it could affect our economy, why would they be trained, schooled, cardd for when they are an expense, then be happy to see then paying taxes to keeo racist chavs on benefits.

Sorry, different case. The UK and Ireland have a separate arrangement - have had since before the EU existed.

Yes, and that agreement that existed was not ever in jeopardy providing the UK and ROI were both EU members.

Now that the UK is exiting - ROI remains an EU member and cannot make 'deals' with other non-EU countries without the 'green light' from Brussels!
All previous 'agreeements' are null and void.

I really do question if the longterm arrangement UK and Eire have always had since before the EU will remain - unless Brussels is kind and allows this 'special policy' to continue between the UK and ROI.

I have homes in both countries. lived in ROI long enough for citizenship.

If NI people want to stay in the EU why don't they just join/unify with ROI?
