He also called the Moon Hoax Theory, "nonsense." Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70310636 The hoaxers believe Dr. Van Allen when he says the belts exist but refuse to believe him when he said the trip happened. They can't have it both ways. Thanks AC 70310636 this gives me something to search on. I did not know Van Allen himself said they passed through the VAB. There's a quote from Van Allen at the top of this webpage that directly addresses the hoax radiation claims. [link to www.clavius.org] Thanks again that was a good read. my post may come across as nut but I keep an open mind to learn. No problem. Glad to help. That page was setup by a working aerospace engineer and makes for a good starting point for further learning on the subject of space exploration. |

Quoting: Mr. Smokey I have never seen any real proof that they are able to shield the people inside the craft from radiation of lethal levels. I read an article not too long ago that said most or all of the Apollo astronauts could see something similar to shooting stars on their way to the moon. Even when they had their eyes closed. It is theorized that this was some kind of radiation they were exposed to. |

I'd avoid it after the one guy died a couple of years ago Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71626364 what "one guy"? SpaceX hasn't flown any manned missions to date... He's probably talking about the accident that Richard Banson's space plane had. One of the pilots died in a crash. |
