The native American lore of these parts say that bigfoot is a noctural creature, when few drone operators will be awake. Also, the mountains in these parts are difficult to navigate, even for explorer types. Anyone who wanted to do so, could be very difficult if not impossible to find. We once bought a satellite radio because cells don't work in most of these parts, but the dead zones for the satellite made even that useless.
There's a reason that the Antarctica people come here and hire our trail guides for their bases. Snow until June or later under the woods... crazy easy to get lost here.
According to the Native Americans, bigfoot, who they call Sasquatch, comes into their settlements mostly to steal provisions. Rarely they kidnap tribe members, who rarely make it back because they cover their heads while traveling. Just another hazard in a pretty wild country. Not sensationalism to them.
On this point, I'd believe the locals.
A couple of U Idaho students fell asleep a couple years back and woke up to see a bigfoot mom and kid eating berries within view. True? Maybe. Sightings are too common to make the news, but student sightings? Rare. Most people out here learned long ago to keep their mouths shut about most everything.
