In the world of chipping people - what happens is the person is inserted with a receiver like from a mobile phone - they can then be called and spoken to: the person assumes what they are hearing are their own thoughts so they can be indoctrinated - I guess you would need satellites for this tech to work well if you didn't have closer access etc
