A Road in the Abyss, a Pathway in the Many Waters

Isaiah 43

For your sake I am in procession to Babylon
and bring them all down as fugitives,
even the Chaldeans, in the Ships in which they rejoiced.

I Am He-Who-Is, the Holistic One,
the Creator of Israel, your King.

So utters IHVH,
who is making a Road in the Abyss,
a Pathway in the Many Waters,
who once brought down chariot and horse,
army and warrior;
they sank down to rise no more,
they were extinguished, quenched as the candle wick:

Do not think this is the former things,
nor consider it the things of the old time.

Behold, I create a New Creation;
now it is springing forth, do you not perceive it?
