i still think if they required transparent pricing it would drive the cost down. there is a reason why the dentist, optometrist, podiatrist and chiropractor are affordable. they can tell you what things cost up front.

the hospital and your doctor should be required to have the same thing. instead they overbill the insurance company, then its a shell game of price negotiations between insurance and doctors/hospitals.

call your local hospital and ask how much an x-ray is they will have no clue

then call 3 chiropractors and eye doctors and ask how much an adjustment/exam will be. you get your price quotes

Large projects in the business world are often done in phases, it is great to see our president apply this practice to government.

There is no difference, when it comes down to it. Rand has the power to deny it, and he should use that to get his bill voted on.

I miss my insurance before Obamafail. I could take my kids to the doctor when they were sick AND still eat.
I don't call this health insurance, I call it my second life insurance policy so I don't lose my house when I get sick. I don't see how Ryan's proposal changes this.

Each state should figure out their health care laws. Social Security has already been promised to seniors and disabled. Veterans care has been promised to veterans. The poor have been promised health care by Obamafail. You just can't take away what you have promised. But to make everyone else cover the promises the government made is just wrong. This administration will be hated like the last one if they don't get rid of this burden on the people.

Americans want health care we can afford. We want to be able to see our doctors when we're sick and not lose our homes. We don't mind adding a little to our premiums so the poor can have coverage but we do mind when the poor can go to the doctors because they can get free health care and we have to choose between healthcare and eating. I don't see how Ryan's plan changes any of this. Maybe he needs to sell it better because this is not the change I voted for.

You can't have non-mandatory healthcare and people not being covered at the same time.

Also if you give young and healthy people the option to opt out of health insurance then you have very expensive health insurance for the rest.
