Oral Hygiene

One factor that makes white oak bark tea unique in comparison to other herbal teas that are used for health conditions is that it is helpful in the treatment of dental issues. If you have swollen gums or gingivitis, the anti-inflammatory properties of white oak bark could help reduce the swelling and other symptoms that are associated with oral decay. It is said that Native Americans used to chew on the bark to help prevent tooth and gum disease, because the tannins in the bark have the ability to help fight bacteria and prevent cavities or gum infection.

My dentist told me to use a soft brush. I believe the one I use is number 40.

With coconut oil

about how soon could effects be seen doing it once a day?

Probably depends on how bad your gum disease is. When I use oil pulling for a sensitive tooth, it begins working within an hour and within a day the ache is completely gone. To fully heal gum disease you'll also need to focus on nutrition and eliminate the causes.

Cod liver oil, bone broths, and a good butter from grass fed cows. Also invest in a water pik. Oil pulling as mentioned earlier.

You have to stop the bacteria.

Get your teeth cleaned properly.
Get an Oral B - skip a crappy toothbrush.
Floss and brush after every meal.

Oil pulling using coconut oil

My gums were starting to recede. I got the Oral B and began a more regular flossing regiment. I gag when I do the oil pulling thing, but realized that chewing sugarfree gum helps. I know, some people object to the chemicals. But I decided the health of my teeth were worth a few chemicals in gum. My measurements have increased tremendously and last visit to the dentist, she said my mouth was very healthy. Chewing the gum increases saliva production and helps to wash away the acids from foods and the bad bacteria.
