Quoting: TheGasMan II I guess it's a gag gift thing? If you are old enough... you might recall lots of people buying a "Pet Rock" yep, it was a thing way before the internet.... Oh yeah, I remember the pet rock days. I remember the smash up derby cars that came out when I was a kid if that gives you any inkling of my age. While I appreciate that I was able to read the whole book AND make it to my local "Day Without A Woman" protest by 10:30 am, the cover contains an American flag and American flags are a trigger for me. T he ass who thought it would be a good idea to put the American flag on the cover forced me to retreat to my safe space for a half-hour to compose myself. I ended up being late and I didn't get my favorite spot at the protest. Brilliant!! And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "Just another soldier reporting, Sir. It's currently covered in a half inch thick layer of dust. Most popular modern books are quasi-self-help books. When Pet Rocks were a fad, 1.4 million of them were sold in about 6 months. Now this book is #1. People haven't changed much. They are willing to part with $7. What's the experience they hope to get out of doing that? If they want to make someone laugh, it's $7 cheaper to tell a joke. Yes, I did cure my Stage 4 cancer in two weeks when I was 48. I also reversed my chronic kidney disease (glomerulonephritis) when I was 25. In neither case were any medical treatments involved. |

It'll be different for each liberal. Not sure what's more scary "Story Time with the Voices in My Head!" or "I'm reading a blank book and it's darn good!". Quoting: darkwolf007 In either case, they'll think "I can be as stupid, irresponsible, moronic and hypocritical as possible! Why? Because my heart at least is supposedly - supposedly - in the right place." |

Quoting: TheGasMan II I guess it's a gag gift thing? That is in #1 in Books on Amazon is amazing: [link to www.amazon.com (secure)] Think of it this way, OP, get a bunch of copies to use as kindling for a fire in a fireplace, to use as toilet paper in a pinch, and any other of useful uses. We use Hil-liar-y's 'Takes a Village' for that. The local closeout place had them for $0.01 a copy.
