--MAY is an Extremely Dangerous month this year, the likeliest month in which a Catastrophic event could take place. There will be an astounding tornado outbreak or severe weather/storm/cyclone event between May 5th and May 9th, or around May 17th and May 26th.
Earthquakes are likely on May 5th, 8th, 11th, 17th, 22nd-23rd, 26th and 29th. A Volcano/Tsunami disaster is possible on May 17th or May 26th.
*The most dangerous date in this two month period is May 26. On a scale from a minimum risk level of 1 to a maximum of 11, this date gets a 10*

Cluster is providing new insights into the working of a ‘space tsunami’ that plays a role in disrupting the calm and beautiful aurora, or northern lights, creating patterns of auroral dances in the sky.
Generally seen in high-latitude regions such as Scandinavia or Canada, aurorae are colourful curtains of light that appear in the sky. Caused by the interaction of high-energy particles brought by the solar wind, with Earth’s magnetic field, they appear in many different shapes.
Early in the evening, the aurora often forms a motionless green arc that stretches across the sky in the east-west direction. Colourful dancing auroral forms are the results of disturbances known as ‘substorms’ taking place in Earth’s magnetosphere. These perturbations can affect our daily lives, in particular by affecting the reception of GPS signals. Thus, understanding the physical processes involved is important to our routine life and security. These substorms typically last one to two hours and are three-dimensional physical phenomena spread over altitudes from 100 to 150 000 kilometres. Trying to understand such complex physical processes with a single scientific spacecraft is like trying to predict the behaviour of a tsunami with a single buoy in an ocean. That is why, the simultaneous use of several satellites like the Cluster constellation is necessary to understand these events.
Currently, there are two competing theoretical models to describe these substorms or space tsunamis. The first one is called the ‘Current-Disruption’ model, while the second one is the ‘Near Earth Neutral Line Model’. Using data from the four Cluster spacecraft, a group of scientists from both sides of the Atlantic were able to confirm that the behaviour of some substorms is consistent with the Current Disruption model.
A substorm develops and builds up in different stages, and it is the detailed study of one of these stages that helps us to understand which of the two models apply. For example, in the late stage of substorm development, auroral disturbances move towards the poles, suggesting that the energy source for auroras and substorms moves away from Earth.
Previous satellite observations have found that, during this late stage, the flows of plasma (a gas of charged particles populating Earth’s magnetosphere) in the magnetotail exhibit a reversal in direction. In recent years it was generally thought that a flow reversal region is where magnetic reconnection takes place, that is where the energy of the magnetic field is converted into particle energy (dissipation effect), resulting in high-speed plasma flows that hurl towards Earth, like space tsunamis.
Detailed analysis of data obtained by the Cluster satellites while crossing such a region in the magnetotail, where flows of plasma exhibit a reversal in direction, has been reported by the team of Dr Tony Lui, a scientist of the Applied Physics Laboratory at the John Hopkins University, Maryland, USA, Co-Investigator of the Research with Adaptive Particle Imaging Detectors (RAPID) high-energy particles experiment on Cluster, and lead author of the study. Thanks to the unique capability of Cluster to perform simultaneous multipoint measurements, the scientists were able to derive several physical parameters never before estimated for such a flow reversal region.
By comparing the directions of the electric current and the electric field in the magnetosphere it is possible to understand whether the cause of the flow reversal is a dissipation effect (where magnetic field energy converted to particle energy) or a dynamo effect (where particle energy is converted to magnetic field energy). For this case study, the Cluster scientists observed that features associated with flow reversal are actually very complex, consisting of both dissipation and dynamo effects in localised sites.
This result shows that the plasma turbulence disrupts the local electric current. "The features we observed are consistent with the current disruption model. However, it is unclear how general these findings are. More events will be examined in the future," said Dr Lui.
"The magnetic substorm phenomenon is a hot topic of research," added Philippe Escoubet, Cluster and Double Star project scientist for ESA. "This new Cluster result will certainly contribute to the on-going scientific debate and foster research cooperation with scientists involved in the newly launched NASA Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms (THEMIS), a mission specifically dedicated to studying substorms."

If a satellite encounters high-energy particles or other 'space weather' phenomena before ground controllers can take action, on-board electronics could be disrupted, scientific instruments damaged and, in very rare and extreme cases, spacecraft may even be lost. A sophisticated tool in development at ESOC promises to provide effective monitoring and forecasting for any type of mission.
But since early 2005, SEISOP (Space Environment Information System for Operations), a space-weather monitoring and forecasting tool under development at ESA's Space Operations Centre, has been successfully providing near-real-time space weather reports for Integral, ESA's gamma-ray space observatory.
Large solar flare, 13 December 2006
Solar activity influences the entire solar system in several ways, including generating streams of fast-moving energetic particles and sudden bursts of damaging X-rays during solar flares.
Energetic cosmic rays from elsewhere in the galaxy also penetrate into our solar system. These phenomena are some of the major sources of abnormal behaviour and aging for spacecraft and their sensitive scientific instruments.
“SEISOP can potentially provide warning services to space agencies worldwide, since space weather can affect any spacecraft.”
Space Weather affects spacecraft in many ways
Developed in collaboration with the ESA Space Weather Applications Pilot Project with funding from the Portuguese Task Force at ESA, SEISOP comprises a database of spacecraft health records and worldwide space weather observations, combined with sophisticated software applications that provide reporting, warning, forecasting and history tracking for the Integral Flight Control Team.
"Space weather affects spacecraft in many ways. There can be random lost data, changes in orbit dynamics and reduced quality of science data. Therefore, real-time updates are essential when deciding how long to shut down instruments during hazardous periods," says Alessandro Donati, Head of ESOC's Advanced Mission Concepts and Technologies office.
ESA, NASA, NOAA, other sources feed data to SEISOP
Some of the space weather data is gathered by ESA, NASA and NOAA (US National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration) spacecraft, while other observations come from numerous ground-based institutes and facilities. SEISOP is a member of SWENET, the Space Weather European Network.
SEISOP enables mission controllers to predict when they should shut down instruments such as star trackers, place systems into 'safe mode' or take other action to protect sensitive on-board electronics and scientific sensors.
While some instruments are equipped to automatically shut down during adverse periods, not all are and bringing an instrument back into service after an automated shut down is time consuming. Further, it has until now been difficult to know when radiation had fallen to safe levels, once an event like a solar flare had taken place.
SEISOP to enter operational development
In 2007, SEISOP will enter operational development aimed at providing all ESA missions with the same vital space weather updates. "We expect to start work this year to create the final operational version. SEISOP can potentially provide warning services not only within ESA but also to space agencies worldwide, since space weather can affect any spacecraft," says Donati. Quoting: Theory Assassin |

There is a large amount of very good info on this thread. First warning given was that weather would go crazy. If you are tracking world weather you would know the extremes are winning. Floods vs drought and snow in non-snow zones and hurricanes in crazy spots. All in last 3 weeks and of course drought has been happening for a while.
Not saying anything incoming but we do have another thread with same claim.

And just one thought . They are making this out to be somewhat normal. This is not . We have never seen flooding of this type and widespread all around the world while other parts of the world have never seen a drought as bad as this has become.
The extremes will only worsen. The forecasters can not even come close to forecasting the totals.
14 inches in one night in Austin and what they thought would fall does not even come close to this amount. We have reached and passed the tipping point so fast that the climate models can not predict or even come close to what we will see. From this point foward nothing will be the norm..
Indeed the upper air has become somewhat superheated and with that allows even more moisture to train above as the warmer the air the more moisture it can carry. So think of it this way there is basicly rivers of moisture in the sky and all trained on a local area. Most of wich seems to occur at night as the upper air mass cools the river is pushed down and sinks to the surface as dramatic rainfall. Normally the storms would just disapate at night . So as theory becomes logic it has become painfully clear that this is not the Odd and normal patterns that is being pushed off on us by the Goverment or the media. This and other things have become events way to often.

He thanks we are headed for very warm stormy weather followed by ice age in the next 10 years. Not sure what is going on but something seems to be going on!
