I think this is a reasonable request. At least don't ignore it. I would understand if you don't want to answer it especially if you are telling the truth such as giving the initials...that could give the person away! Ok you've got my attention.
In 2001 I had a waking vision related to ingestion of certain psychoactive substances in which I was shown a scene from the future, I was not made aware of when though.
The vision was of a gigantic band of energy that stretched across the sky. Great crowds of people were just staring and looking at it, absolutely terrified. It was approximately 1/10th of the width of the sky, passing about 10 deg off the plane of the ecliptic from horizon to horizon.
Then a gigantic energy wave hit the earth and people started to go "crazy" and many just died, fell down dead. I got the impression it was heart attcks and spontaneous CVA that caused this.
Then a gigantic "wind" started up and destroyed most of the earth's structures.
I was told that when I saw the sky start to create this band to run to the "caves", that I would be safe there.
I got the impression that if I observed the sky closely it would be faintly visible well before the actual "wave:" hit, and I should stay vigilant.
I check the sky every night... |

That's a very interesting question. We know that the main danger lies in the vigorous nature of solar winds. Whether or not such activity translates into electro-magnetic storms is part of the "unknown" at present, but we may have some new data on such a scenario next week. 400 mph winds could do some damage...
did you see the tsunami that was created by the cme?? can't remember exactly when it was...but it's like the power from an atomic bomb just traveled out from the sun...it was powerful and cool to watch/see...on the computer of course (spaceweather.com) more than likely.
so solar stuff plows to the earth all the time at pretty high velocity too...hmmmm.
so would it be like that...that happened and no one saw or felt or experience until afterward anyway? |

What's your best comparative analogy of a "tsunami" from outer space?

ESA, could you please tell us why you're so concerned about this and who told you about this event.
Are you allowed to talk about it, and if no, why?
I'm concerned because everyone I work with is concerned. At first, I thought it was just a matter of protecting satellites, but last week I learned that the emergency goes well beyond that.
Please note that I am myself not a technician or controller.

As I said, it may darken somewhat during daytime hours. The sun will be obscured by at least hazy "cover". I suppose if you lived somewhere close to the North Pole you may see some very spectacular phenomena, although this is pure conjecture on my part. |

Yes, they can detect such activity, and much more besides. As I said, we have no evidence that the storms will necessarily translate in electro-magnetic disruption of the earth's atmosphere. That situation may change as more data is made available.

I've heard some strange theories and this whole subject is well beyond my field of competence. We had an American colleague working with us who was convinced the tsunami had been triggered by a nuclear device and he kept a stack of imaging data to prove his case. |

NASA Satellite Observes Mysterious Earth Energy
Scientists using observations from NASA's Reuven Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager (RHESSI) satellite detected flashes of gamma ray energy in Earth's upper atmosphere in greater detail than ever before.
