Yeah. You're right. He should just go and kill himself right now. Why bother.
At the present time he has to carry on as usual. He could be wrong and why would he not go to work? He may learn more info to tell us (I should add that I myself am quite skeptical), but you don't just shut down your life because of something that "might" happen in the near future.
You have no idea how each individual person would react to a given situation. Hey, but here's a thought! Even you are going to die someday...so why don't you just call in sick to your job Monday. Same difference...different timing.

My theory on the matter is .. why would aliens bother to land on earth and systematically wipe out the human specie ..! When they could probably set off some sort of enrgy field that would hit the earth from MILLIONS of miles away ...
Im not saying this is what this is but hell .. who knows .. and i for one am gonna do absolutely NOTHING in regards to any survival - Preparation .. WE NEED MORE FACTS ..and FAST...!

The OP never mentioned anything about 300mph winds. He said, they don't know what's going to happen, but heavy storms, like hundreds of tornados possible.
It doesn't sound like an E.L.E, and definately not worth quitting one's job.

I'm going to keep an open mind about this one. The OP did articulate himself well and seem to answer things in a quick unplanned manner. Facts came over well.
If its another wolfcry - It's a good one.
The only thing that bothers me a bit, is the fact he said where he works and what he does. If anyone wanted to hide there identity, supressing this info would be a must, I would of thought.
We will see I guess. If its a wave of energy, GRB or reminance of a supernove or quasar, then they must know the direction of which it is coming in from.
The solar heliospheric bubble would surley compress when interfaced with the energy wave. |

The $200 million mission is expected to help scientists develop better forecasting techniques for potentially dangerous solar storms, which can knock out power grids, navigation and other satellites and even force airlines to abandon polar routes due to loss of radio contact.
The satellites were carried into orbit aboard a Boeing-built Delta 2 rocket that lifted off at 6:01 p.m. (2301 GMT) from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
The solar storms are better known for triggering the beautiful sheets of shimmering green lights near Earth's north and south poles. The lights, known as aurorae, are caused by charged particles that have been blasted off the sun's surface toward Earth, where they can interact with the planet's magnetic field.
During storms, the magnetosphere is overloaded with energy, causing magnetic field lines to stretch until they snap back like giant rubber bands, flinging electrically charged particles at the planet. They travel into the upper atmosphere over the polar regions, where they smash into atoms and molecules, causing them to glow.
Scientists want to know where magnetic disturbances arise in hopes of being able to better predict when they will strike.
"For over 30 years, the source location of these explosive energy releases has been sought after with great fervor. It is a question almost as old as space physics itself," said Vassilis Angelopoulos, the lead scientist for the mission, which is called Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms, or THEMIS.
Themis is also the blindfolded Greek goddess of order and justice.
The charged particles also can damage electronic components on spacecraft, short-circuit power lines and rip through the bodies of astronauts in space, potentially causing cancer.
A network of five satellites is needed to track the storms, which start from a single point in space and progress past the moon's orbit within minutes.

who are saying that this incoming cluster of comets and one enormous
planet are generating the

VOLCANIC ERUPTIONS are intensifying at an accelerating pace!
Why an "Accelerating Pace?"
Because -- as a former high school physics teacher -- I can relate a
simple principle: that when these planetary bodies and comets
approach Earth and our Sun, the gravitational forces between us and
them increase as the inverse square of the distance between them.
This means that as this Planet X "Entourage" zooms toward us to one-
half of its initial distance, its pulling force becomes four times
greater: to one-fourth of its initial distance, its pulling force
becomes sixteen times greater; to one-fifth of its original distance,
its pulling force becomes twenty-five times greater; etcetera
Now, the toward acceleration of this Planet X entourage increases
commensurate with the pulling force. So, its velocity, in this
example, Would become four times faster then sixteen times faster
then twenty-five times faster etcetera
So, this cluster of comets and planets is coming at us like a shotgun
blast.
This means that the extra-planetary excitation upon ALL of Planet
Earth's volcanoes is being whipped up daily at a dizzying pace, a
pace much faster than Simon Day, Bill Maguire, and Hermann Fritz can
even imagine.
WHY?
Because these scientists do not even KNOW about this Planet X
Entourage shotgun blast coming at Earth. No one has told them about
Planet X. You see, money drives our government, and money drives
NASA. And concealing this
great peril is what keeps the economy from collapsing.
