Most of my work involves writing reports appended to requests for greater funding, so I have to know just as much about the way in which the EU Commission works as I do about satellite communications.

If the wave consists of anti-matter the Earth will be annihilated. I find this highly unlikely, however, as matter exists where the wave has already passed through. This is a good thing as no insurance policy I am aware of covers annihilation.
