What exactly is going on with it?

take a look at the youtubes and see what your problem is and see how simple it really is to fix it - most of the time.

If it is clogged,
get some shampoo or hand soap... the cheapest you have and pour the bottle in the bowl. Let simmer for a few minutes. The soap will eventually lubricate the TP and the emulsifiers will help break the fat down in your poo.

If there is no action wait an hour, turn on all the faucets near the toilet and flush.

The water you are wasting will place a slight tug on your turds. As you flush you will get a stronger "slosh" of water going down the bowl... (I swear this works)

It should flush without you having to plunger the poop into the hole.

But for FWIW I though you guys all pooped on the beach?

Shit inside the tank. Then put the lid back on.

I like to use DAWN dishsoap.

Light an M-80 and drop it in the tank. It'll clear it right up.

FILL a bucket in the tub -3-5 gals of water

Flush - try handle- WHILE flushing Pour water relatively FAST aiming for the hole - the weight of water will get a flush going and it will go down

If you pour too slow - it can overflow

You can ALWAYS flush a toilet with a bucket of water

Every country girl knows this- because when power is out there is no water in the country with water wells

You can also pour water into BACK of tank to fill it

Then flush

Or do double

Fill back of tank

AND pour a bucket for really stuck stuff

Did you PLUNGE it?

Use the plunger that has a shaped part that goes INTO the hole to get the best auction

Then clear with bucket of water

Why is it not flushing.

Is the cistern not filling with water or is the toilet blocked. Big difference with different solutions. Respond and I can talk you through the correct ways to resolve the problem.

Could be one of several things, guess we won't know til you come back and talk some more.

Are you on a well, OP? If so, the pump could have gone out, which would make the toilet not flush.
