Ongoing magnetosphere for past 24+ hrs

Looks pretty disrupted. Very loose, far away from earth, and the angle of the bowshock is low. It's almost like there's a solar wind coming from the opposite direction balancing out the sun's, but that's obviously unlikely.

Is this all from solar flares and solar wind, causing large disruptions to the natural balanced shape of the magnetosphere? What is causing this?

If we were to get hit by a geomagnetic storm from the sun, we'd be screwed right now because our sheilding is down, basically. Is that right? So a medium-powered solar flare pointed right at the earth (geoeffective) could really hurt us right now potentially? Good thing we're at a low period for those. Which again brings up the question: How did it get like this in the first place?

yea I have been having heart palpatations for a few hours now-heart is flip flopping llke a rabbit little scary but been there once already

Spaceweather.com shows nothing abnormal about the current wind. I checked FAA NOTAMS (notice to airman: pilot warnings right) and nothing posted. If it were doom, navigation would be affected. All in all I would say... cute picture, kinda cool looking.

If you get the government of the world calling for power downs and black outs asap then you know we are fkd.

After cold front swept through overnight awoke and we had a beautiful blue sky for about 3 hours.

Never saw so many Xs of sprayed sky in my area(bama)
