I believe this effect has to due with a certain chemical in the brain that's involved with sleeping. These same shadows can be induced for longer periods with certain drugs such as Benadryl, which is a Deliriant in high doses... Quoting: Psychonaut SN7 Benadryl will gang up in your body if you take it a few days in a row too - I discovered that dealign with a bad bout of allergies in a new location - I was on it about week and then my whole world broke down and went wild weasel. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74196211 I am really considering the sage and salt. Makes more sense than putting random crystals around and losing my fiance. yeh that's bound to keep this squid like entity away Lavender repels insects. Cucumber peel repels ants. Why do you scoff if someone says sage smoke and salt repel the hypnopompic squid thing? Sage cleans the air, anyway. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72945569 That is unfortunate I had a brain tumor 2001 after it I had some problems, but not squids or anything with tentacles take God. I did have a problem with things looking like a large lizard though. Oh, I nearly forgot the giant head as if it was sticking his head in through the celling, he was laughing at me. Strange things you can see sometimes, I was not asleep. Do not ask me way it was happening, it just happened after the tumor was removed. That giant head laughing still bothers me. It look real for sure. Sorry I got a headache These are the times that tries men's and women's souls! May we come though it victorious! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72945569 I think I may have had a mini-stroke and I had a beautiful colorful pixelation going on in my peripheral vision. I felt fine, but it was just scary. It went away in a half hour or so. Happened a FEW times. Migraines can present like this. Ive had 2 episodes of that this year. Never experienced it before this year. It looked like a rainbow rope, stretching across my vision, but my head did not even hurt. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 70731748 United States 03/18/2017 10:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i was visiting relatives and was sleeping on a sofabed in the upstairs bedroom. it was a stressful day and we all ate way too much food. and when i went to sleep i was pretty tired and konked right out. i started having this dream but it was like i was still awake. total paralysis, couldnt scream or speak. it was horrible. but, in the center of the room, sitting on a plain wooden chair was this enormous baphomet type entity. massive horns that curled backward, thick red skin, hooved feet, legs with fur like an animal but the rest of him was just brownish red skin. i could hear these tribal drums beating, and the whole event was all going really fast. the drums kept beating louder and faster, and then the chair went up in flames. the head on this thing kept changing to other heads. some of the heads were of people i knew, one of them even being my dead grandfather. but the drums were beating loud and fast and this menacing creature just staring at me from the center of the room kept changing heads, a different head about every second or two inter mixed with his own head. yellow reptilian eyes and his mouth was in sort of an evil grimace like smile. long teeth. creepy and scary af it was so menacing, and i was in total terror, and trying to move and scream but nothing would come out of my mouth. anyway... i started to force myself to wake up, which seemed extremely difficult but i managed to make it happen. but i kept falling into that deep sleep again and i actually had to rise to my feet to keep it from happening scariest 10 minutes of my life. i sort of understand the dream now which took place 32 years ago. but when it happened, i almost didnt want to go back in that room. the upstairs of this relative's house has always been creepy. everyone who's slept there has had some kind of paranormal thing happen. |
Elfsong User ID: 68981843 United States 03/18/2017 11:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A few nights ago I woke up from a very negative dream to see a very large eye and some tentacles fading away into the wall. I wasn't dreaming about squids or anything with tenticles so I was very shocked at what I saw but because I saw it while coming out of a dreaming state I didn't exclude that maybe it was some sort of a dream. The past couple of days I've been pretty I'll. A flu or a cold, no major diseases but last night I could not tell if I was dreaming or not. This entity or thing was here again and I felt it attach itself to my head and started to pull me towards the wall and downwards. I said " help me" as my fiancé sleeps next to me and then I couldn't remember what happened after that. I'm just looking go find out of this could possibly be real or if it's just a dream.
