Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74000880 Most people are bitches and look for every excuse to whine, like an upset stomach lol. FYI Most everybody gets Salmonella poisoning which is usually no more severe than an upset tummy. NOT FOOD POISONING. Risk for salmonella also comes from the EXTERIOR of eggshells. It DOESN'T grow inside the egg (though will grow if it can feed off it's content). Munch on that next time you want to check you eggs in the grocery store then continue on touching everything else including yourself. I like it when people are touchin produce and then when they go to open one of the plastic bags will lick their fingers to be able to get it open. The best though is while they're lookin through different packaged meats AND THEN lick the same fingers to get one of the plastic bags open for the meat package. Lick their fingers? Who does that shit? |

Quoting: deplorable abeliever It's the best. It's ugly packaging is just a vacuum sealed bag with writing on it. Find it in the prepared meals section like where they have the shrimp cocktail, wrap sandwiches platters, uncooked chicken pot pie, etc. The whole rotisserie chicken is also great. I've purchased them at many places and it seems Costco, Fred Meyer and Walmart have the best chicken bang for the buck when it comes to RC. You can't hardly by a chicken of close to equal weight/quality and prep/cook it yourself for less. Around here anyways. We like to simmer down the carcass with a big onion...a bunch of fresh garlic...green onions and depending on the mood at the time...fresh ginger then strain it out to divide into small freezer portions too. |

Who does that shit? I guess it's habit or something. Like when people lick their fingers to turn a page. The skinny plastic bags are hard to open many times and people will lick their fingers for a better grip so as to get the bag open. It's unfortunately not the worst thing people are doin in the grocery store when it comes to gross humans. I didn't even get into what the babies and toddlers are doin to food. Just wash anything that's exposed to snotty...pissy or poopy human hands. |

I think you are confused. You aren't supposed to REFREEZE thawed or cooked chicken. You also shouldn't re-refridgerate reheated chicken. |
Carnac User ID: 31587129 United States 03/20/2017 05:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Same. A week is stretching it though. The trick is to make a dish with lots of sauce so you can freeze and then nuke without making the chicken too dry. OP never heard of a freezer. Must be a liberal. They can't get passed the word "free". Have a nice day = GFY. GFY = Go Fuck Yourself. If this offends you then have a nice day. |

You said no way someone is that stupid. I addressed that by sayin you may not get around enough to see just how stupid people are about "cooking". I also commented on how many people think microwave cooking is actually cooking. I said i like to do real cooking and with all the cooking shows on I'm surprised at the amount of people that still have no common kitchen/cooking knowledge. But apparently I went batshit and accused you of having and/or cooking with a microwave. Ummm...wait a minute...NO I DIDN'T. Good on you for not microwaving...but bad on you for commenting on something that wasn't even written. Hey...maybe you were cookin something else and couldn't see as clearly. |

After the third day, I'd still readily turn leftover meat into a soup or stew with no fear. Just bring the meat to a rolling boil for a few minutes before adding veggies or noodles. I've safely extended leftovers a few more days this way. Just bring it to a boil again each time. |

Do not keep food in fridge more than five days. Freeze it for up to three months. |

So how do you do it? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73859353 So reheating food gives you food poisoning? News to me. Everyone says you should never reheat meat in microwave or you will get diarrhea, stomach cramps etc You can't be that naive and/or gullible....can you? What idiots told you that? Who is "everyone"? At worst it will dry out the chicken a bit....maybe. Nuke it in a microwave safe container and it's stays pretty decent. Haha yeah! The poor fucker probably thinks a microwave is a nuclear device, too! |

I cook whole chickens and turkeys all the time, slice the whole breast off wrap it in Saran Wrap than foil than freezer bag for future lunch meat/meals. Never sick but I have iron clad gut flora. Steak and red wine on the other hand is a guaranteed puke for me. Go to utube and search weekly meal prep and you can see how it is done. |
