Ms. Superduper (OP) User ID: 70651884 United States 03/20/2017 11:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Publix its like a inquisition shopping there. Did you find everything you were looking for. Oh you have a cat. (cat food) So what are you doing this weekend, etc etc etc. Sometimes I dread it. Quoting: Starbird Hahahaha. I don't experience that here. They're just very nice, though. They are not that inquisitive. Publix is omitted from this complaint that I have, though. They will take things back with no problem, and they don't ask if you want a bag or a receipt. Aldi's (do you have those?) will give you the product for free, if you bring something back that you didn't like. I mean, if you take an item back, they will say, okay just get what you want, i.e. another kind of coffee and give your money back, too. lol. Of course, they don't ask you if you want a bag, because they don't have bags - you have to bring your own, and they always give a receipt. It's mostly gas stations (WaWa's), Walgreens, etc. etc. I mean, they don't make enough money with their jacked up prices? Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Ms. Superduper (OP) User ID: 70651884 United States 03/20/2017 11:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It erks me to no end. I just purchased 40 in fuel. You want my cash, or my pin number in your machine, so yes I want a receipt. And make it two please. Extra copies are great. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68000476 Hahaha. When I got here I encountered the bag thing. Was strange at first being asked if I want a bag for my 12 items. They charge .10 to .15 cents depending on the store. Nice, heavier plastic bags suitable for repeated use. Most everyone carrys their own cloth bags into the stores. |

I don't like being asked if I want a bag, if it's clear that I need a bag, and especially if I have given them a good amount of money. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Anonymous Coward User ID: 44493293 United States 03/20/2017 11:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Does anyone else experience this now? Quoting: Ms. Superduper What's up with this? Do I want a receipt? Duh. Yes, I want a receipt. I have asked them countless times, what that is about. I have asked if their boss or proprietor of the store has instructed them to ask this. They don't answer but talk right over me and say "Oh, people usually don't want one." On what planet? Ever try to return something with no receipt? Also, do I want a bag. I purchased two hot 'sammiches' and 2 coffees (also hot). Would I like a bag? Uh, no, I am a juggler. Is this to cut back costs? To keep returned product to a minimum? I don't like it, do you? I do not need a receipt usually because I go to the same places.I usually always want one though, like you say.One store though proceeds to rip a damn handbook out of the register to give me, I am like, never freaking mind, you keep it..lol.I do not have a big pocket book.. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 44493293 United States 03/20/2017 11:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Honestly only reason I keep a receipt is for bank, not to return anything.Out of town or something yes, I would hold on to it for that just in case. Where I am? They damn well better give me my money back or exchange lol, without a paper.Debit etc usually comes out auto but at times it has not and my mind has gone these days so try to keep up with it.Some one making me crazy around here,AND enjoying every minute of it. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 44493293 United States 03/20/2017 11:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | They make us pay 5 cents a plastic bag now to try and get more people to bring their own reusable ones Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74438703 the reusable ones have been linked to high lead content. That is scary if I really think about it. I worry about things to worry about worrying over though... |

I mostly go to Publix by my home - or sometimes Whole Foods. I hate shopping for food. I even order stuff now through Amazon. Like cinnamon granola bars which they don't seem to carry at the stores. |

We have several Aldi's, but one is very close by. I haven't ventured into the fresh produce really. I got some bagged organic kale there which was super-duper, and a 10 lb. of taters for three bucks. I like the cheeses because they are from other countries and taste good and are reasonable. I got a choc. bar from Austria the other day for severe and occasional choc. emergencies. Also, some different kinds of bread and pastries from Germany are nice. So, I sort of pick only certain items from there. That's where you take your own bag with you, and put a refundable quarter in the buggy (southern for grocery cart), but I just put my few items in my bags that I take in, because I'm a buggy tard, in that I haven't worked out the buggy mechanics. The stores that I go to regularly, when I check out, look at me and say "Oh yeah, a receipt and a bag." Hahahaha. No. I am not sleepy. I slept all afternoon. What'chall wanna do next? Yes I want my receipt User ID: 67812216 United States 03/21/2017 01:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We had one store doing this, and I am talking supermarket grocery type, where you are buying several items with a value of $40 on up. Now we have three supermarkets doing this in our area. Let's say you have a problem with something you purchased and want to return it but you have no receipt. Sounds like there's going to be a bit of a problem getting an exchange or a refund? So when they ask me if I want my receipt I say YES. |
