They feel very secure in their ability to dominate the system. The government is their husband and caretaker, so, like the wife of the King, they act very confident and in control.

It's a delusional process, but probably one that they can't even understand is going on most of the time.

They don't, on a deep level, see themselves as poor, weak and a burden to other people. They just find that they have the backing of the state and it resonates with them in a way that causes poor behavior.

I was married at 16 and 26 and both times I did what I was always told I was supposed to do, submit. In both marriages, I lost everything. Then I decided that I would only live with someone, never again would I marry and put state paperwork on my relationship. When a man starts trying to talk to me, I am polite and I exit as soon as possible.
