Because other countries have been fucking America hard for the past who knows how long. That's why Trump wants to impose tariffs on other countries equal to what you fuckers are doing to us. American goods always cost more when shipping abroad because of this. Free Trade? How about Equal Trade?!

I already checked into this years ago. Here is the complete accurate answer:

ONE (1) Religious ethnic minority simultaneously purchased Fedex, UPS, and DHL. Since those are the only carriers in the U.S. other than the USPS, which is now little more than a sham (but still the cheapest) well, MONOPOLY.

A year or so ago global shipping from the US via USPS was less than $10 for a small package. Now FedEx handles the international parts for USPS and it's almost doubled the price.

VATs and tariffs. That makes sure cheap foreign goods can't compete with the ones you make locally. Somebody in your government must want you folks to keep your jobs. Our government couldn't give a furry little rodent's hindquarters. We have nothing but Chinese S#!t here.

I noticed this trend years ago.

I would buy a lot of things from Amazon in England and Europe. ($15 for British region DVD of one season of Doctor Who, plus $3.00 shipping. $65.00 from Amazon in America and even more shipping.)

When I shipped the same kind of things to England, it cost many more times than England was charging to ship here.

when ebay was in it's early years, shipping from u.s.
to canada was cheep through united states postal service.
then when the parcel came to canada, canada added import
duty and taxes,brokers fee's, made it not worth buying anything after

Shipping fees have been outrageous on anything I've wanted to order on Ebay from the UK. It's been that way as long as I've had an account with them. Shipping from China or Hong Kong is often free. I'd much rather order from the UK but the shipping costs makes it too expensive.

Better question, why can chinese vendors ship their cheap crap to the US for practically nothing!!!!!

It's the postal services. Meanwhile, they give cheap deals to China so that they can sell an item for £1.00, including shipping to the UK, whereas it would cost me £2.85 just to post the item domestically.
