Lawncare question
I live in NC and just bought a home. My yard is a mix of clover and crab grass. Need some help with how to convert this mess into a real yard. Should I kill everything? If so, with what or should I just throw down some seed and treat weeds accordingly? Thanks guys!

Re: Lawncare question
What I saw a lot in the south when I was there for work might fix your problem. People would take a SQ of St. Augustine sod and plant in their yard in the middle. It would slowly expand and take over the yard. Supposedly the root system is very shallow and dense and chokes out the weeds. It takes a couple of years, but the whole yard will be overtaken by it. Killing the existing yard is a crapshoot, as the weeds just may come back.
