Had this argument with my boss after I told a fellow co-worker "do your fucking job." Busy night at the restaurant and the guy wants to fuck around during the rush, young kid early 20's. Boss pulls me outside and says "you're right that he needs to do his job, but you can't use those words." So I said "there's no nice way to tell someone they suck at their job."

Anyway, it's b.s. in today's world. People are all up in their feelings. Pussies.

Man, I miss him! There are certain people in this world that it's a true shame to lose. He is one of them.

That video reminds me of when I worked for at a major auto manufacturer HQ. We used to say (jokingly) that one of the "features" of a really ugly car is that it had "theft deterrent styling."

Re: George Carlin: How language is used to mask truth (GENIOUS!)
I always loved George Carlin.

I got his first record when it came out and it got a lot of play.

My main influences were Mark Twain, MAD magazine, Monty Python, The Marx Brothers, and George Carlin. That is to say, as far as my humorous world view was concerned.

I followed his work as it came out, and read his books.

I considered him like a contemporary version of Mark Twain.

He had the same kind of cynicism, concern with language, and good common sense.

Sometimes he was a little too dark for me, and too scatological for my more conservative tastes, but he was always true and insightful.

And he was as great a master of the language of his time as Mark Twain.

A great American.

Re: George Carlin: How language is used to mask truth (GENIOUS!)
Can't take criticism, huh?

White people deserve a good drubbing once in a while.

I grew up in an all white, suburban neighborhood.

Every father was a well to do professional, and every mother was a housewife, and home all day.

The kids were very anxious and hyper-competitive.

They were always having temper tantrums and crying fits on the sports field.

They were so obsessed with "winners" and "losers" that the words were always on their lips, and they were prone to cheating, lying, and any number of cruelties.

Some would just kill themselves, and a few murdered their parents.

They were almost all extreme political Liberals, who wanted to hang Nixon, and who worshipped Jimmy Carter.

Most of them worked anxiously on getting the grades, and they yearned for jobs with security, benefits, and pension funds.

None of them would ever speak out against their Liberal professors, claiming that they were worried about getting perfect grades.

They claimed to not be racist or prejudiced, and they supported every political racial platform, but they would not hang around with blacks or Mexicans, who they hated in private.

They became the next generation of petit government functionaries. They got their tenure and security, and they let the government screw poor white people.

What's not to criticize?

Dark humor dumbass. He didn't WANT it, he just saw the writing on the wall. And he's right, barring drastic immediate action to stop it.

To me the best thing he ever said, which I think sums up so much of what happens in our society, is when someone asked him about a new investigation of 9/11. He said:

"They don't investigate themselves."

And they DON'T.

Still applies today, especially how the left tries to make issues like invasion by Central Americans in to a "humanitarian crisis" instead of Illegal Aliens who are economic opportunists. It's worse than ever just be listening for the changes in words and phrases to hide their real meanings. Politics is ass-deep in destroying our language and with it our culture.

He might have been on the left side of many things but at least he had his eyes open and wasn't a true believer.

If he were alive today I could have seen him being one of Ron Paul's biggest early supporters...
AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM:

KICKING ASS, KILLING NAZIS, KILLING COMMIES, MAKING BABIES, BUILDING CITIES, EXPLORING SPACE, GOING TO THE MOON, AND PUTTING THE "CIVIL" IN CIVILIZATION SINCE 1776!

******************************

But I tell you this man, I tell you this, I carry an aura of "fuck you" everywhere I go and while I may not cause scenes I can sure as hell continue them and escalate them but good.

******************************

There is going to be a second revolution folks.

Count on it - and it will be the citizens against the government.

It will be damn bloody. It will be a war of attrition. It will result in over 100 million dead.

The heavy handedness of the government - the fascists in code enforcement and animal control especially - have brought this upon themselves.

George Carlin was awesome. I didn't agree with a lot of his politics, but the guy was hilariously honest.
"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787

I totally agree.
I also see a few comparisons to Michael Savage in that regard.
