Here's my take ...

Vets/friends reminiscing over old war "souvenir" / "propaganda" photos ..

now I may get banned for this ... but I know it as TRUTH!

My dad was WW2 vet - spent time in the Philippines .. as a kid, friends and I would look at his old photos .. when I got older used 1 for my band .. later on (thanks to the internet) found out many people had copies in their possession .. and realized .. woo .. US Solders have been so fucking brainwashed into GUNG HO NESS.. forever .. !!

Here's a copy of the particular souvenir/propaganda photo I used for my band ..

Havent had a B-52G in service since the START treaties of the 1980's.

Greatly lamented during the First Persian Gulf War of 1990-91

Final B-52G eliminated under New START

BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. (AFNS) -- One rescue saw, two qualified technicians and less than 45 minutes later, the final B-52G Stratofortress accountable under the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty was eliminated Dec. 19 at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group here, commonly referred to as the Boneyard.

"Behind me is the final B-52G, serial number 58-0224, to be eliminated under (New START)," said Col. Robert Lepper, the 309th AMARG commander and speaker at the event. "What you see today will not be overly dramatic, but it is definitely historic."

Lepper then outlined the process.

"Employees from the 577th Commodities and Reclamation Squadron will finish this elimination by using a saw, similar to a firefighter's rescue saw, to cut along the predetermined circumference cut line to sever the aircraft's tail section from the fuselage," he said. "You will hear a distinct 'clunk' as the fuselage breaks into two, signaling the cut is complete and the aircraft 'eliminated.'"

The United States were required cut the tails off the aircraft in order to remove the B-52G models from treaty accountability, as they still count as deployed, nuclear-capable delivery platforms, said Ken Vantiger, an Air Force Global Strike Command senior arms control analyst.

AFGSC is the lead command for New START implementation, although Air Force Materiel Command and Air Force Space Command also have major roles in meeting the treaty limits.

In addition to other strategic categories, New START, which entered into force Feb. 5, 2011, mandates that Russia and the U.S. limit deployed strategic delivery vehicles to 700.

I think the photo has something to do with planes.
All characters and events in this forum --even those based on real people-- are entirely fictional. All celebrity comments are impersonated...poorly. The above post contains coarse language and due to the content it should not be viewed by anyone.

Had an old file and that picture slipped out. Who and what were they involved with? Myriad possibilities . From the picture we can deduce it's an old picture. Involves bombs and or chemical/biological weapons. Could date the picture with expertise on planes, bombs, etc. Could find out country of origin for same. We didn't see the men but if you did you could figure out if they were all Americans, ages, were they dressed in cheap, medium priced or expensive clothing and what occupations would be dressed as such? Time of day you saw them and would their job factor into their being at your place of employment at that time? Type of paper picture is printed on, company that paper came from, development technique used to print picture, etc.....
Fun! I love investigating unknowns.

My guess is the group of men were ground crew who loaded the bombs on the B-52's. I can't see the plane crew carrying around a pic like this, just the loaders.
Gen. John B Gordon and Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest were the finest citizen-soldiers birthed in America.

First, there are all sorts of bases in the Midwest, but they could be there for other business reasons - sourcing materials or something.

Were the men young, old, mixed ages? What race?

Obviously, if they were reminiscing about the 70s, they would be a bunch of old farts and probably NOT wearing suits. Hardly any men wear suits to the office these days except lawyers. My son works for Lockheed and they don't wear suits to work, except sometimes when they are on business trips sourcing/selling product.

It looks to be a B-52 and someone mentioned NAPALM above. I do know that the United States has pivoted to JUNGLE WARFARE training to counter the South China Sea/North Korea threat. This could be a training op or they know you frequent GLP and they were testing you
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74513375

Don't be silly, these planes are STILL in use today. But they are pretty much pointless if the enemy has fighter jets in the air. They are slow, and used to be used for carpet bombing, now they are stand off and can carry cruise missiles.
