I read an article by a man that visited India, and he went into detail how many of those who DO have toilets still prefer to just squat outside next to the road and take a dump.

I'm Indian and I agree that India is pretty dirty. They need to seriously clean up instead of worshipping statues all day. Also India must get rid of the corrupt politicians in its government. They are not allowing any progress and loot money from the people.

I have traveled to India many times. I like this country a lot.
Indians in India are great people, never had any problems whatsoever and the countryside is breathtaking.

The problem is indeed corrupt politicians and egomaniac projects like a spaceprogram instead of using the money (actually India is quite rich) to install a nationwide sewer system.

Here in America I worked for a house cleaning service (like The Maids but independent) and they refused to take on Indian clients because their houses were so disgusting and they were people with money.

I've been to six continents in my life so I've been around. India IS the dirtiest country I've been to. It has some things to see admittedly but it really is a hellhole. Cleanest country goes to Japan. I doubt there will be a spot at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 lol.

Their Train network is professional and rather cool. However there are no toilets on any of the carriages and people were pooping on the floor in front of other people and the smell beggared belief.
