Anonymous Coward User ID: 74467824 United States 03/27/2017 11:29 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm moving from Cleveland to Arizona and wondering how is the price of living and finding jobs preferably in the mining industry? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72890111 Tucson is bipolar. Biggest influences are University of Arizona (liberal) and Davis Monthan Air Base (conservative). Currently not significant mining jobs in Tucson area--most mines were closed years ago. Jobs are mostly: (1) academic (University Arizona) (2) defense (Raytheon-builds missiles and munitions); aircraft maintenance (Davis Monthan) |

You'd be better off going to Craigslist and asking the forums there. Go to Tucson craigslist. There are not many cities in S Arizona, used to know people who lived in Tucson and worked in the mines and they lived in Tucson. South Tucson is all Mexican. If you're looking to get a job in the mines there, first check out the Arizona state jobs site. Major employers will use them for pre-screening. If you google Arizona jobs, you'll get it. It may not be a good career move for you if they are not doing a lot of hiring. *** Good deeds bring rewards, bad actions bring troubles. That is a law of the universe. *** |

AZ is a good place to live. I moved out here from Missouri 22 years ago. If you can't take the heat, keep to the higher elevations. Realistically, unless you work outdoors its colder in the summer from all the fucking sub zero air conditioning in offices and stores. There is a diverse mix of cultures and architecture, depending on what city or part of town. Lot's of places at the right elevation seem down right mid-western, while others are full on Mexican or snooty upscale mansion neighborhoods. We have a little bit of everything out here. Best of all, lots of places to go shooting and camping. Last Edited by The Rickest Rick Sanchez on 03/27/2017 11:39 AM The universe is basically an animal. It grazes on the ordinary.
