BREAKING NEWS : Trump Declares War on Freedom Caucus : ‘We Must Fight Them’

I voted for both. My Congressman (Mark Meadows) is a member of the Freedom Caucus and a true conservative dedicated to a smaller federal government and it's intrusion in our lives. He wanted total repeal of Obumbocare. I am watching President Trump Very closely, this is very concerning to me.

Trump is beginning to sound like Hillary.

Hillary lost the election because she offered us gun control, higher taxes, homo education and WW111. But she blamed her lost on Russia, Trump and Comey.

Now Trump backs Rat Ryan's pile of crap as great healthcare and lost. Not because Rat Ryan's plan sucked but because of the "Freedom Caucus". He is becoming a typical politician full of projecting his failures on others. I guess that is what happens when you move to Washington D.C. and are surrounded by psychopaths. It begins to rub off on you.

The ONLY important issue is the corruption in the system.

THAT is why I voted for him. I will give him some time, and cut him some slack, but it is looking like he does not know who is friend and who is foe.

If no swamp draining, he will be a failed president and he will lose my vote, and my respect.

But it is still early and he is learning on the job. Two months is not enough time no know for sure.

If Trump had not been elected it would have been Clinton. HILLARY FUCKING CLINTON or a neo-con and that would have been the end of the country. Trump is the last chance because no one else has the NAME-RECOGNITION, money to run on his own if needed and the willingness to do it.

If he turns out to be a fraud then that's it. No one who is a true patriotic, traditional-values American can ever get elected. So what option does that leave patriotic, traditional-values Americans who want to save our country?

I hate to get into these arguments because common sense does not matter to many on GLP.

It was not Obamacare 2.0. It was Obamacare light.

They did not have the votes, even if every republican voted in favor, to completely repeal Obamacare. Would have taken a super-majority.

But they did have a majority if almost every Republican voted in favor of it, to weaken Obamacare, eliminate a good chunk of the bill. That is what they were trying to do. Then they could go back and get rid of the rest of it piece by piece.

So yeah, it sucks... it would have only been a partial victory. But I would rather of had a partial victory than a total defeat.

I will add to this that the current cost of healthcare, which makes insurance so expensive and self-pay impossible for most, is due to government regulations. They created the problem, and simply getting rid of Obamacare would not solve the overall problem.

For example, about 8 years ago the government required hospitals to provide more reporting. Did they ask people over 16 if they smoked? Are they reporting everything to the state? Did they treat patients who had a stroke with a particular protocol? Etc...

This required hospitals to completely replace their computer systems. For large facilities, that cost ran upwards of a half-billion dollars... 500 million dollars. And it is on-going. Every 18-24 months the government requires more information. That requires huge upgrade costs... that requires more people to enter and track data. Just the annual maintenance costs run in the 10s of millions MORE than what they had incurred before the regulations.

If we are going to bring down costs, the government has to get out of healthcare... cut the regulations by 90% and the costs will drop. Then they can eliminate Obamacare, cut the costs of Medicare and Medicaid, and your private insurance rates will plummet.

They did create the problem and it wasn't so they could undo the mess they have made. They whole reason the majority of congress refuses to even consider an actual repeal of Obamacare is because they want the problem. Without it, they don't have control.

An actual repeal is the only way to set things right. The Freedom Caucus was just trying to keep the Ryan socialists in the republican congress from maintaining the federal government's stranglehold on the American people through smoke and mirrors.
