Higher truth channel and others point to the fact that the anomalies under normal solar conditions such as 4/4-4/16 often emerge from the NON sun facing side of earth, suggesting a magnetically relevant anomalous force on the other side of earth from the sun (like our incoming binary system)
 Quoting: rachel3108

There's no need to invoke non-existent "anomalous" forces on the nigh tside of earth to explain those events.

Magnetic reconnection occurs on that side too, and when the field lines disconnect and reconnect they accelerate particles back toward the earth.

This page explains the process with some good illustrations down left of the text:

This link gives very good explanations to understand how the magnetosphere reacts to geomagnetic disturbances. If you are a long time observer of the magnetosphere and have carefully examined the anomalous events that have occurred since October 2016, you will definitely realise there is something else besides the sun that is massively perturbing our magnetosphere.
We saw extreme anomalies and massive pressure on our magnetosphere when there was no solar activity whatsoever.
I cannot say for sure wether if this influence is from outer space or if it has something to do with our own technologies.

using this site for magnetosphere (mag field)does not match up on the captured images.

the data is being manipulated to view as "nothing to see here" move along.

Which tells me it is panic time mode.

Thought it might be timely to recap on last year's total magnetopause
reversal, on April 25:

There are also images captured by SOHO
near the sun just days earlier on April 22
of a solar anomaly which seem relevant.

Thanks! I was actually just thinking today of posting that. I remember it had been on Passover but not that it was in late April. Amazing that it could have been a warning 1 year to the date. Next military holiday in north korea is 4/25, a day they could test the nuke, which may trigger a US preemptive strike. 4/23 there is a predawn alignment of newly emergent and near peak brillince venus with the waning moon just before new moon. There was also news of a coronal hole stream forecast to reach us 4/23 although i have yet to find updated info based on developments on the far side of the sun

Does anyone know is WSA-ENLIL tracks CME's only or is it both coronal hole streams and CME's?

From the model it looks like the first burst of solar energy narrowly misses earth, but the second one is set up to envelop earth beginning 4/22

Sorry, don't have the time to read through everything, but I am wondering about a few things:

1: What CME? No major solar flares

2: What Solar Winds? The solar winds are normal

3: What is so unusual about a coronal hole? They happen frequesntly, some bigger than others, but NEVER EVER has there been a "reason" or "cause" pinpointed for them. Why would they take this approach now, when they never cared about the "cause" before?

4. So what if the solar winds hit us from the coronal hole? They are only supposed to affect the arctic region, which is not uncommon. Real news would be mid or low latitude geomagnetic storms.

What's the big deal?

 Quoting: rachel3108

Again, I stress, solar winds that take 5 days to hit the earth can't possibly cause damage. CME's, Coronal Hole Winds, etc hit the earth in 2 or 3 days not 5 or 6. It's a very, very simple math equation. These "high" winds go about 700-800 km/sec. At that speed it takes 2 or 3 days to hit the earth. If it takes 5 or 6 days to hit the earth, then the winds are only going half that speed (350-400 km/sec) because it's taking twice as long to reach earth. 350-400 km/sec winds will ot affect the magnetosphere or cause any type of geomagnetic activity.

So, if there is geomagnetic activity on the 23rd, you can rest assured it has nothing to do with anything that happened prior to 4/20/17.

Re: Ongoing Geomagnetic field instability since 4/4/17 -- 9/25 Perturbation
I read your other post and looked at the link you provided. Here's the thing. Nowhere does it say that anything will happen on the 23rd. The only thing that he is saying is that a coronal hole that's on the far side right now will be earth facing on the 23rd. There's no basis to assume anything. The author has no clue what the wind speeds are going to be, coming out of that particular coronal hole on the 23rd. The coronal hole may not even exist anymore by the 23rd. It's a very far stretch to think that something so far out, with no data at all, will affect us on any level.

Second, your title says that it has "opened a crack in the earth's magnetosphere. Do you know how the northern lights work? Do you understand what causes the northern lights? The same thing is happening here. And that is why they are only calling for geomagnetic activity in the polar (high latitude) regions, which is very normal.

I'm not trying to be nasty or negative, I'm just trying to help you understand that so far all I've seen is a bunch of hype based on absolutely nothing.

Old AR2644 has returned.
:4/17-old2644:

NOAA/SWPC Discussion-

Solar Activity 24 hr Summary...
Solar activity was at low levels. A C2 flare occurred from a cluster of
returning solar regions around the eastern limb of the visible disk. No
Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

.Forecast...
Solar activity is expected to be very low with a chance for C-class
flare activity and a slight chance for an M-class flare (R1-R2, Minor
-Moderate radio blackout) on days one through three (18-20 Apr) due to
the anticipated return of Region 2644
(N13, L=057), which produced
occasional R1-R2 (Minor-Moderate) radio blackouts during its previous
transit.
