I have to admit that I thought the magnetosphere would look worse under this strong of a solar storm. The GOES magnetic field data that feeds the magnetosphere looks bad but thhe magnetosphere itself seems just as perturbed as it has been. One issue to consider is that in this storm the proton density was high but the wind speed was under 600 km/sec
