Can a computer literate person help me with 7-zip?
Can't find the disc for my pantum 2502w printer. I don't have the drivers installed. Went to the pantum website and tried to download the drivers. I can get it to download using 7 zip. But when I double click the download after it is complete I can't get it to install on my computer. It just opens up a folder and shows me all the different files.

Create a temp folder on your desktop. Then, open that zip file and copy all the files in that zip file to that temp file.

Then, you should be able to run the setup.exe or install.exe file to install those drivers.

You need to find the extract button. It needs to extract those files into a new folder. Once extracted, you can navigate to the new folder and run the installation program.

dunno..I have Linux...but most of the time, find a 'printer(s)' or 'Driver(s)' option on your computer, then through that install and select from the destination you downloaded to.

Is the 7zip program installed on your computer. You need it to unzip some zipfiles. Its different than the one included in your operating system.

I'm very grateful. I've never been able to open those kinds of files. Got it to work. Extracted to the desktop and open the set up file.banana2

Lol thats how I do it, or open 7zip and browse the file by clicking the dektop icon search the compressed file and open it... 7zip open almost every compressed file even if it lacks a file extension ... chuckle
