Bi Polar delusions of grandeur and spiritual visions and are so fun. Reality bites, life is suffering and what really makes life worth living is finding meaning. Religion is still a false fixed belief system. Do not put much stock in Prophecy, for we can all design our own outcomes and read into what is not really there.

Damacus has been at war long before Biblical prophecy. It is not a far stretch to guess that one of those battles would result in a fall. I can you I have had visions and believed I received messages from god.

The message I receive, is he would not be returning, now or anytime soon, as everything is going to plan, and people were doing fine on this planet, although we might not feel like it is. I was told not to follow religious prophecies especially Biblical prophecies, as doing so is a belief in witchcaft and sorcery. It is a test of our faith. You have little faith if you belief in the false teachings of Bible Prophecy.

You should know, he future is not fixed in stone. God is along with you for the walk is all. God will support you on a spiritual level if your intentions are good. So take from religious text all that is good and meaningful to your life situation, but leave the rest. If it does not apply to you directly, it is not meant for you. That means almost all prophecies are out, and mostly none since, becuase the bible is a corrupted text as are all religions written by the hands of people.

What is mentioned and considered to be prophecy on many levels is really what would happened if XYZ were to happen. Example. if you biol a hot pot of water and told not to touch it because if you do it will burn you, well that is pretty much how prophecy works. A young child might not listen to there parent and challenge their wisdom, what happens is the end result of what they were warned about. Sort of like the prophecies of Joana, that never came to pass.

There is a silver lining to every experience. One we can all learn from.

So your contention is that the Bible is wrong in places on purpose?

I see your other points, and agree to a degree in some places and respectfully disagree in others.

I have a complex belief system that many would disagree with.

I see the bible as a guide of how to live when talking about the teachings of Jesus. We should all attempt to see life through the eyes of these teachings.

As far as the prophecies go, I was shown a version of how Armageddon would play out. The uncanny thing about my dream was that it showed me things that I had no memory of beforehand. How do you explain that? I dug and found what I was shown in the dream, and had never picked up the bible beforehand. How could I have known about these things if I never read them?

I came out of my dream confused. I did lose my mind following my experience, thinking I was something that I am not. I am sane now, after years of therapy. I am making a conscious decision to follow the faith of Christianity despite the evidence that goes against the validity of the religion in general.

You have got to remember that 66 books compose the New Testament. Many authors. Some of the books are first hand, and others are inspired. There is a lot of truth in the bible. More truth than deception.

It is up to the reader to determine which is which as all that read the books will come to differing conclusions.

Jesus said that blasphemy could not ever be forgiven in your whole life time, once you knew him and god the father, turned away , and even turned back to him after you left. Not the same as the Prodigal child, as the child never denied his father he just went forth in sin. Blasphemy is blasphemy and cannot be forgiven for you caused others to fall. You have committed blasphemy by denying god existence and leading others astray according to god.

Now the new age church will change up these teaching because they know darn well this is a false teaching of the Bible although it is clear that is what it meant. So what makes you thinks prophecy is really so accurate, because, for someone that was suppose to reappear soon after death, well, let face it, he has not returned and it is well over two thousand years.

I will ask for forgiveness and will hope God can forgive. If I end up in hell for what I have done in my life, then that is how it will be.

I will continue to live the remainder of my time on this Earth the way I know I can...with an open heart.

Thank you Lisa*Lisa, you have inspired me with your threads. You have a good heart in the sea of deviants along these boards.

Correct, the subconscious can be uncanny, but you have to remember you are immersed in a Christian culture, although you may not realize it. You may not realize you have memories of certain things you have learned but, have forgotten or never really knew how you knew them. That is your subconscious working for you bringing your fears to the for front of your consciousness. It works out problems for you to solve and presents them to you. I would look more at what that meant to you on a personal level. How was your mind trying to resolve an issues. I would not put much faith , time or effort into the beliefs teaching, and inspirations of prophecy. The future is not set, not matter how real the events seem to be to you.

I am guessing the reasons why you had those visions is the fact that meaning was missing in your life, and you did need a spiritual connection to something greater then yourself. What better way for you to achieve that end swiftly, than for your subconscious to scare you into it. Call it Stalkholm syndrome of the mind. Something was missing, Eureka you found it.

To tell you the truth, I was and am battling PTSD. I am a combat veteran and have a darkness inside of me as a result. I found the light and then followed the darkness for a period, but everything changed the other night. It all made sense again. I had an epiphany. I believe that we are indeed in the end times as detailed in the Book of Revelation.

These are my beliefs. No one will sway me away from living a good-hearted life for the remainder of my life on this Earth.

If I am wrong, then I can deal with that, it will not break my faith...

I am aware that every generation has a portion of their population who thinks that we are in the end times, and many have prophesied the end, and have failed.

I am not so vain that I think I have all the answers. I am ordinary.

OP...you should study the bible deeply before making a decision. You will ruin your life for trusting ramdom christards for believing something that you and them have no idea what it is.

Don't listen to that person. Ignore anyone that tries to rob you of your hope in Jesus Christ. He alone is your hope and if you belong to Him He has already paid for all of your sins. Trust the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He WILL direct your paths.

Following my experience, I read the bible in its entirety. I reread certain portions of the New Testament. Revelation was read at least 10 times during this period, as there is a lot of content in there. Following reading and studying, I began to see with a new filter installed.

The internet allows us to see across the globe in real time. Many events have caught my eye as of late. I don't want to discuss them as I do not want to put myself in a position prone to ridicule.

Even during my process of being lost and questioning, I still had a strong belief in God. I separated the two---God and religion as I used to view religion as the construct of control, not necessarily the truth...

I now follow the teachings I found along the way. Jesus was a real man, and his lineage has left us all awaiting his return. I do not know what that looks like other than what is said in the books.

He shall come the same way he left. From the heavens. Now interpret that as you will.

God is Omnipotent, He is omnipresent, He is 100% Sovereign and in control of ALL things.

There is no blank check. God the Son paid for all of the sins of His people. He knew and determined to save them them from before the foundation of the world.

Your wording confuses me OP. I wish to be an encouragement and not a hindrance nor stumbling block to what your newy found faith means to you, HOWEVER . . .

There are several key points that I feel it is my obligation and duty to advise you of because I am a believer in Jesus Christ and the details of the language you used does not portray that of a believer. I am not being pejorative and it could just be that you are new to all this but I want to make sure you understand what it is that saves you and how salvation is accomplished in you. It is very important. God does not make it hard whatsoever but there are many lies of Satan out there and it is vitally important that you understand what Salvation is.

First just a few key points based on what you stated.

Belief in Faith Saves no one.

Faith in Christianity saves no one.

Christianity is a religion and religion saves no one.

Faith in God saves no one.

Belief in God saves no one.

There are several key areas that we must understand to be actually saved, born again and a redeemed child of God.

1. You must understand that you are a wicked sinner, condemned to death in Hell. You stand before a Holy God with nothing to offer to mitigate this sin. Your personal sins are an offense to the God who created you and God's justice demands that you personally must be punished, Eternally in the Lake of Fire. You must understand that any offense/sin is worthy of this punishment and in this all sin will equally condemn you to this hell.

Ro 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Ro 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Ro 6:23a For the wages of sin is death;
Re 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

2. But God Loves you and does not want to see you in Hell. His justice demands payment. You must pay for what you have done. His love will not overrule His justice. His justice will not ignore the sin. So God made a way that your sin be paid for. He Himself would come to die in you place and cast all the sins you ever committed upon Him. He came in the form of a Son of God. Yes He was fully Human but He was also Fully God. He came of a virgin so that Romans 5:12 (above) would have no hold on Him. He came to die. He came to suffer in your place. These things are vitally important for you to believe because if you do not believe any one of them then you do not believe on Jesus Christ (1) He is the Son of God (2) He is God (3) He was born of a Virgin. (4) He came to save you personally (5) He lived a sinless life (6) He suffered and died and three days later He rose from the dead.
Ro 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Romans 5:8-9 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.


3. You must be Born Again. When you were born you were born in the likeness of your father. And He in the Likeness of His and so on and son on all the way back to Adam. But Adam caused us a problem. While Adam was made in the Likeness of God, on the day He sinned, he died -just as God promised. Not Physically but spiritually. His spirit died that day. You were born with a body and soul. But when you were born physically you were born with a dead spirit. Just as we all were. Jesus clearly taught that in order to be saved you must be born again and that confused even one of the most intellectual teachers of the Jewish law. Jesus explained that in order to be saved from sin you must be born again in your spirit. You spirit must be made alive unto God. Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:5-6 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

When one believes that they are a sinner and are worthy of death in hell but God made a way of escape through His Son Jesus Christ, ask Jesus to forgive them of their sin, then repent (turn away from) their unbelief and places their faith in Jesus Christ as their only way for salvation, not by any good works on their own part but only the work of Jesus Christ, then call on Jesus to save them, The Holy Spirit of God comes into them and quickens or makes alive their spirit and they are at that moment Born Again, a child of God and are given the Holy Spirit of God as a down payment of their future Eternal life with God in Heaven.

Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that
God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 8:9-11 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Ephesians 1:13-14 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.


Again OP I wish not to offend and I do not wish to correct your word usage, I just want to make sure you fully understand what true Faith in Jesus Christ is unto Salvation.

Thank you for your words. I read what you wrote, and believe that I went through a process. Some could call this process some sort of mental breakdown, but I swear on my life and may God strike me down, but I fully believed I was in communication with a higher power for a period.

I began seeing signs. Signs that led me to that camping trip. I do not see the signs anymore, other than the typical 1111 repeated throughout my day. I am left clueless as to what all of that is about.

I see that Jesus is the only way to heaven.

Now, I have a question. Is Jesus, as in the worship of Jesus the only way, or is emulating his teachings the way. Trying to drive out the hate we all hold, and trying to live a better life?

I see the passage you posted pertaining to this saying that you must be born again in order to see the kingdom of heaven.

I had an event happen, which I do not feel like going into right now, but it involved me meeting my end, and something intervened. That something I believe was God. I heard no voices, but my mind raced and I was able to see my entire life flash before my eyes. Only this time, I was allowed to see through the other perspectives. I forgave all that had done me wrong in life as I held onto that hate for years.

If we are speaking of way as in way to heaven then not worship nor emulation are the pathway. The Way to Heaven is simply the salvation plan I laid out. And not any works.

Now if you are speaking of the way as in manner that we live this life certainly Jesus left us the example of the way to live. Jesus went about doing good. He went about spreading the Gospel. And He stated that it was imperative to feed the hungry visit the sick and those in prison and take care of the needy because it shows the love of God through us.

Furthermore the Holy Spirit of God was given to you to empower you. You have God Himself through His Spirit to empower you to do good works on His behalf. Galatians 5 tells us how we are supposed to live and not live.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Walking in the Spirit by communing with God through Speaking to Him in prayer and listening to Him through His Word should produce these traits in you toward others.

While I would never dismiss your personal experience with God unless it conflicted someway with His written word I would also suggest that experience never replaces nor trumps the written word. God will use dreams and certain miraculous ways to bring you to Himself at times. But always seek to hear His more sure word in what He has written. He did write it down as a contractual promise to you so He could be held to account for every bit of it.
