the pity approach will work for only so long.

the fact is Millennials got screwed by the very person who wrote that post, but they haven't accepted it. THEIR FUTURE WAS STOLEN IT DIDNT JUST EVAPORATE.

AND THEY WILL EVENTUALLY TAKE IT BACK.

Im in Florida all I see around me are these old people, regular folks, living it up like it's 1999. Since when does becoming a senior citizen entitle one to a 20 year vacation from reality?

it's coming boomers.... soon.

This thread reeks of ignorant pussies who don't have the foggiest idea how the world and economy work. If you snowflakes think it's so easy to change what the government does you're bigger dipshits than you make yourselves out to be. The government, big business, and the elite destroyed the economy, and they continue to loot it for every last cent they can before they let it crash and burn. All throughout history there have been booms and busts caused by the elite and you snowflake pussies happen to be living through what possibly may be the last bust before we are all thrown to the curb by our lovely government. Boomers couldn't change what our corrupt government does any more than you snowflakes can. Did you ever hear the concept of divide and conquer? That's exactly what our government and the elite are doing and from the looks of it, it's working. Grow a brain dipshits and put the blame where it really belongs.

I'm a 49-year-old Gen Xer and am worth more dead than alive, by a long shot.

When I retire, I have a pension that will be more than I make now by at least $17,000 per year. That is before my SS (which I assume will be gone) and 401k.

I don't retire until 2033.
 Quoting: HarshingMyMellow

Our entire pension system is counting on most of the people who have paid into it dying before receiving full benefits.

Sorry Boomers, but we Millennials are mathematically incapable of paying for the pension system you created. They sold you a fraudulent system where you give them money, they control it, and then you hope that they will give it back someday down the road. Meanwhile, year after year, we see stories of corruption and ineptitude from pension managers.

It doesn't matter how old you are, if you think that the government is going to manage your retirement for you then you are nuts.

and these old fucks complain like its still unfair.

the whole thing needs to be reset.

youve got loads of fat old people contributing nothing to society, they set themselves up with federal or state pensions for showing up to their job for a few years and now everyone is paying it.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74689093

spend just a few weeks in some pockets of florida and tell me that the Boomer generation are "hard working" and got where they are from hard work.

they are all fat as hell, dumb as hell, and strangely seem to have loads of money to spend while you see young people homeless and destitute.

I literally watch some of these pensioners whoring out millennial age women because guys their age are so completely broke they'd rather fuck an old ugly bastard on viagra.

it is so fucking sad and infuriating. I hope the boomers get massacred personally.

By then, I hope they grow up as most of them live at home with mom and dad still.

Don't worry OP millions of Millennials are going to be sent away to war whether they like it or not.

The ones that survive and come back to the US will have been changed for the better. No more 50 genders, everybody is equal, women can do anything men can, etc.

It's a sad some of them wont come back but something has to be done.

When people get old they plan is to retire. That's the payoff for working all of your life and PAYING INTO the system. These people are getting back what they paid.

Why can't you seem to understand that? These people PAID INTO the system. They're not getting free money. They're getting what is OWED TO THEM?

You seem to not be able to think clearly and follow this basic reasoning.

The boomer generation owns all the affordable housing and they are trying to rent out housing at the cost of buying a house. One might wonder why people would pay rent that high? Because a first time starter has no bank roll and no credit history == they can't buy a house. Not to mention, wages are tanked. If you can't figure that out, you're part of the problem.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68730242

The old homeplace that I bought from my siblings I rent out to a young man and his wife for $250/mo. They are good hard workers who- like you said above- are just getting started.

The house is in good shape but they do all repairs if needed and they take good care of the place.

Don't you dare lump all boomers in a greedy basket. We are not all alike.

Thing is I could use the extra $200 I could get for the house but I made a choice to rent it to them and give them a break. They are wonderful hard working young people who need this chance.Once upon a time someone gave me a chance and I'm passing it on.

I thought all federal tax dollars simply go into a black hole called 'The Federal Reserve' being for the interest on loans the country takes. This money then likely going to black projects, genocidal programs and holding up the global control system. Meanwhile, more is borrowed to pay for other things.

Why folk like to turn on their fellow man instead of realizing it's the elitists screwing with everyone - I have no idea, other than that the brainwashing is working.

What the hell world are you living in, OP?

I'm one of the people you're trying to target. Here's the scoop:

Been working since I was 15, finally able to retire earlier this year. Yup, couldn't leave early, needed the medical insurance offered by Medicare.

No pension, just what I was able to set aside to fund my own retirement. And yes, some social security which I've paid into for the past 50+ years.

Told my employer for two years I intended to retire; they did nothing to replace me. Their choice, obviously.

Since I retired they've asked me back an average of almost one hundred ten hours per month to do my old job. They can't find anyone who either can or will do it.

I don't own an RV. The wife and I take one, four day trip each summer to celebrate our anniversary.

No Disneyland, no lobster. Able to pay our bills (assuming no major medical surprises) and live a life, but certainly not the life of luxury you allude to.

So exactly why does this "set you off"? What's your complaint with me and the many others who are in exactly the same boat?

Re: Millennials are going to rise up and burn this place down

wtf do you expect young ppl to do if you set all the controls to make property values increase indefinitely?

you robbed them of personal property
then you ridicule them for living with their parents?

youre just a bunch of half dad cranky assholes who wont die.

How in the world have I robbed you of your personal property?
 Quoting: Sassy Granny

The boomer generation owns all the affordable housing and they are trying to rent out housing at the cost of buying a house. One might wonder why people would pay rent that high? Because a first time starter has no bank roll and no credit history == they can't buy a house. Not to mention, wages are tanked. If you can't figure that out, you're part of the problem.

they seriously believe these rental properties entitle them to some kind of feudal lordship or something.

what happened to renters rights?

like they have in every other developed nation?

Wait a minute...hasn't your entire thread been about US stealing everything from you? That would include your "rights".....please, do try to keep up kid, after all it's your own thread.

THEIR FUTURE WAS STOLEN IT DIDNT JUST EVAPORATE.

AND THEY WILL EVENTUALLY TAKE IT BACK.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74689093

Don't worry OP millions of Millennials are going to be sent away to war whether they like it or not.

The ones that survive and come back to the US will have been changed for the better. No more 50 genders, everybody is equal, women can do anything men can, etc.

It's a sad some of them wont come back but something has to be done.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1572175

right and were going to have a big war while boomers sit on their fucking ass, spend a million in medical care a year, and act like they own everything.

no buddy, we have a crisis, old are typically the most stressed. no one cares if you die because you dont serve a purpose.

WELCOME TO THE REAL REALITY ASSHOLE.
