He must have thousands of documents that implicate the elite of the UK in scandals you cannot comprehend to even make such a statement of standing for election in the UK !

They got to Assange before the election last year. Wikileaks is compromised and so is Assange's twitter account. Don't believe anything you read on his twitter feed is coming from him.

Democracy is working if you can still fight with two broken legs here in the UK so they must know he would win a lot of votes if allowed to run.

Our MP's all need hanging and then we will know we got the right ones but in the USA for going along with 9/11 the politicains need killing a lot slower to make sure they feel pain

Our legal system can find ten reason to stop him running in the election but none to charge Tony Blair with over his war crimes.

There is no disqualification if charged with an offense as everyone is innocent until proven guilty.

Assange is Austrailian so no impediment to stand, He does not have to reside in the constituency he stands in, but requires the signature of 10 registered voters from the constituency on his nomination papers.

Without looking into relevant Statutes, he may, however, be disqualified for not residing in the UK for 7 years (Embassies are the sovereign territory of whichever country occupies it) and/or because he was granted political asylum by a foreign government from the UK.

It would certainly make for an interesting legal challenge if the law is uncertain.
