Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73180477 Or even not knowing how to spell correctly your own language? You seem upset You seem a babbon wearing clothes made in china or at the best dress up on european fashion designers...but you are still a monkey. • Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass. • |

What's your point? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69289081 You just made everyone's point that Europe is less important to learn about than the United States. Logic is not your forte it seems. As in every other country, school children first learn their own country, followed by their own continent, and then proceed to the rest of the world, including North America. |

Quoting: Merit That's not even including our biggest state, Alaska, which is more than twice as large as Texas and Texas is the size of France. So, I'll take a geography test over Europe and take shit for not doing well on it as soon as you ace one on American geography. Deal? Here's our States and population centers if you need a study guide. Also if you're wondering if this thread is just another American excuse to be a douche and show off, the answers is yes, yes it is. Yes, the U.K. is about half the size of the state I live in. There is a certain euro arrogance. If America was a tiny country people would would know different languages and cultures. I'm not saying every single child would pass the test as that would be down to how well they studied for it, but they are taught American geography as part of the standard world geography curriculum. My son would score something like 70/100. I think you may be projecting your own ignorance here. Doubtful. Geography is a large subject. |

Because is useless How many times in a week you hear a major news from any irrelevant european country vs any of your state. Apart from california and NY the rest of US could disapear and nobody outside US will notice it Well, we don't have snackbars shooting shit up all the time, and would like to keep it that way. besides, when you hear news from the US, it is usually attributed to the US, not the individual state. When we hear news fro France, for instance, it is usually not attributed to the specific province, but the the country as a whole. ETA: You would notice if the flyover country disappears. For one, the planet would go on a serious low calorie diet. That shit was done predominantly by England, France and, above all, predominantly, Spain. The Spanish, hands down, slaughtered more native Americans than anyone else. Do they not teach you all that part of your colonial history?? Remember, most of the US was once a colony of various European countries --- until we kicked, or bought, your asses out.
