So true! I have a hellavu hard time with European geography. Before the fall of the wall, we weren't even taught about the East European countries. There was just a stamp on the map that said, "U.S.S.R.". Then the wall fell, and I suddenly had a whole new part of the world to learn about and that kept changing by the week as countries tore themselves apart in the aftermath of the fall of the Soviet Union. I gave up trying to figure it out.

Don't even get me started on Africa. I have gone through more freaking globes because of changing borders and county names in that place. Grrr.

Where did I say anything to suggest anything to the contrary? You seriously disappoint me LJS. I was originally of the opinion that you were more level headed and of balanced nature. How I was mistaken. It may not be apparent, but I have refrained from using insulting terms. I find doing so inevitably results in the kind of rancour which is apparent in this thread now.

I'm a conservative. I voted for Trump. I loathe all liberals, lefties, commies and globalists. I care about conservation but I understand anthropogenic climate change for the fraud that it is. I believe segregation should be a choice that starts at local communities because people should have the right not to live near others who are proven to be more violent and less productive. I support the Second Amendment. I support a complete ban of Islam in all western nations and don't believe it conflicts with the First Amendment because Islam is, after all, a violent and seditious political system, not a religion per se. I support the Natural Born Citizen clause of the US Constitution and as such believe that our last president was actually an illegal usurper named Barry. As you can see, I'm quite right-wing. I'm not some limp-wristed Europhile with a hipster beard and a Starbucks latte by my side. But I understand that in order to defeat the diabolical forces arrayed against us in this world, we need knowledge, understanding, education, a fascination with history and the history of great men and nations. Pride in our own ignorance is precisely what TPTB want.
