I would also add on that penalties for Treason and Sedition are much more intense. Death doesn't seem to be getting the point across these days. I would also suggest that there are more than one Sgt. At Arms so as to help prevent corruption in that office. Perhaps one per every 10 members of congress or some such thing. They would provide oversight of Congress to ensure no seditious or treasonous actions are being undertaken. They would report to the president AND the Judiciary so as to retain the balance of powers and prevent corruption. Just a big pipe dream at this point though. We are going to have to fight them before we can do anything meaningful. |

We need to make voting TOUGHER AND MORE RESPONSIBLE TO THE FOUNDING PRINCIPLES. Modern 18-year-olds are NOT ready for responsible voting. We may need to also consider disallowing LONG TERM WELFARE RECIPIENTS, as well. |

The XXVIIth is even less consequential (from the 90s). |

Ignorance of rights and ability to defend them as a pro-se litigant is virtually opposite of the founders intended path. A republic if you can keep it. We also need laws that separate politics from education. Any learning institution caught politicizing education loses all government financial support. It's time we stop the indoctrination of our youth in so-called higher learning institutions. Teach about government, and all that entails, but leave you're ideology at home and let our kids find their own path. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74791322 the problem of course is what do you mean and how could that be accomplished? How do you "teach about government and all that entails"? Government is force and it will cage and/or kill you for just about whatever it wants. Whenever it wants. But people wouldn't like telling the truth, so teach the lie and call it leaving "you're ideology at home"? Last Edited by s. d. butler on 05/11/2017 09:24 PM |

A Constitutional Amendment setting strict LOW limits for donations/expenditures for every elective office. This Amendment should also BAN electronic voting machines, and require a paper ballot with receipts and a clear paper trail. It should also ban PACs Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35433958 2. A Constitutional Amendment banning members of secret societies from running for elective office. Clear definitions would need to be worked up for what constitutes "secret" but I would suggest that they be quite broad and rigid, and certainly include any organization calling for world government. This amendment would also set up some form of "dual loyalist" prohibition so that people whose allegiances are split between the U.S. and any foreign nation (or entity-- like the U.N.) would not be eligible for political office. 3. A Constitutional Amendment requiring a basic civics test be administered to anyone seeking to vote. This could be done prior to voting at the next election for any nationwide office. The test could be short, IN ENGLISH ONLY, and would need to have many, many variations and be QUICKLY CORRECTED/CORRECTABLE ON THE SPOT. I'm a Master Mason and I think the secret society thing is bullshit. I'd rather have any member of my lodge in the WH than Obmamao. What an anti-American evil shitbag he was. |

s. d. butler User ID: 74291006 United States 05/11/2017 08:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well maybe. It doesn't mention the commerce clause, it doesn't mention term limits, clarifying the 2nd amendment, the fed (central bank) or a number of other equally important things. Campaign reform is something every politician campaigns on. It's an awesome thing, politicians create the problem, then campaign against it and nothing changes except for the worse. How do you get money out of politics? by proposing an amendment to limit donations/expenditures? The cankles campaign cost a billion dollars. Trump's was around 800 million. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72759550 Think about it. What has been the driving impetus for the push for term limits...corrupted politicians. The longer politicians stay in office the more corrupt they become. Some might have the right reasons at first and then it happens . They are co-opted, for power and wealth, all right there for the taking. Virtually no human can resist that. That won't change, human nature won't change. No taxable income for democracy. Use USA money and quit committing treason against the republic by voting thus legitimizing democracy.
