Doom Break: Man bowls 300 in 86.9 seconds

Can I get a pin for a doom break, please.

I wondered why he was cradling the ball the way he was.
The end of the video shows they are just alley balls that are not fit to his fingers.
He gets a wicked curve going with that cradle position too.

Something tells me he spends all day at the bowling alley on a regular basis.

he was right, his 300 was more impressive than Tom Dogherty's (sp) who used 4 properly drilled balls and took 1:50 give or take.

more impressive would be altering hands per lane/frame - 6 strikes righty and 6 lefty - within the same time frame.

I'm calling bs. The Brunswick reactive fuse is not in compliance with PBA ratio regulations. It's essentially a cheaters ball. Using bumpers would have same effect.

I wonder why he ran back to lane 1. The pins were already reset in lanes 8 and 9. It could have shaved off 5+ seconds from his time.

My guess would be that the dude he mentioned did it thatnway, though with fewer total lanes uswd.

Excellent OP, thank you for posting this. It was an impressive feat under any conditions, though I would be interested to know what the oil conditions were on the lanes. It looks like there may be none, but in order to do what this fellow did, the lanes would certainly have to be all done in the same fashion.

I did a lot of bowling in my day and the lanes at which I bowled had a lot of really, really good bowlers. The management use to play with the oil as they did all of the lanes up before each competition. The machines were programmable to spread the oil thinly, heavily, in certain places and not in others to mix it all up and keep the really good guys from doing too well as it were.

I never quite made 300, but I did have my best game of 279 which was a lot of fun. Starting out with nine pins and an open 1st frame, I was able to strike out all the way for 279. It actually became easier for me to keep it going as the game progressed since there no pressure for a perfect game. It was fun and so was your thread, thanks.

Pardon? 12 strikes is the only way to bowl a perfect game & it most certainly is a 300.

It's possible that this guy did visit GLP at one point in his life.

He needs to be on the Pro tour. Imagine what he could do with his own ball every time and plenty of time to concentrate. Probably much worse, lol
