Reach the world and have a worldwide ministry etc. It was all about fame and money and they didnt give a shit about the people around them. They day came when i left this cult of money and greed and zaid goodbye to it forever as i could not live the lie they pushed. 30 years have passed since then. In my minglings with the "world"...just living life out there beyond the walls of the church i noticed one thing... In the last three decades not ONCE have i or anyone i know EVER had a christian try to tell us the gospel. NOT EVEN ONCE. And within 5 kilometers of where i was there are THREE MEGA CHURCHES...THREE!!! and not one of them lazy selfish money loving self centered fuckheads has EVEN ONCE stepped outside the doors of their church to say anything. Its the main reason i left. I simply could NOT LIVE A LIE. |

It is the price the Church PAYS when it is CONDITIONED to seek FAME instead of FAITHFULNESS. The age of the Mega-church...and TELEVANGELISM...has left much of the LOCAL church in ruins...and everyone now wants to be known BEYOND their "sphere of influence." Even those from small towns and cities have scarcely made a DENT in their COMMUNITIES...as towns of 30,000...40,000...or even 50,000 people STILL have THOUSANDS of UNSAVED people walking the streets daily. Yet..."Think big!" remains the mantra...even though "Reach ONE!" should be the rallying cry! God placed LOCAL churches in towns and cities everywhere...and the Bible...not Ron...says that God wants to use LOCAL churches to reach LOCAL people. God placed churches in Horn Lake, Mississippi for one purpose: So Horn Lake, Mississippi could hear the Gospel...allowing the people of Horn Lake, Mississippi to hear the TRUTH and to be SHEPHERDED by a CARING and FAITHFUL pastor. Dislike it all you wish...but I say tonight what I STRONGLY feel the Holy Spirit saying: Stop trying to "reach the world"...and look around! There are THOUSANDS right where you ARE that need Jesus! Be faithful in a FEW things...in what you even deem to be SMALL things...and God will ANOINT you for that very purpose! Who around you is LOST? I felt more unconditional love, compassion and acceptance the day I visited a Krishna temple than in any Christian church I've ever attended.
