Re: Monitoring The road to WW III.. Military EAM Frequencies..ADS B Aircraft Monitoring
There were 142 military aircraft in the air when I first checked ADS-B around noon EST today. The most notable was the number of trainer aircraft in the air. This could be nothing out of the norm for June, but was was easily 20+ more aircraft than I have seen up on any day in the last 3 months over the CONUS.

Re: Monitoring The road to WW III.. Military EAM Frequencies..ADS B Aircraft Monitoring
As a simple minded person, I don't always see the big picture. But here is how I understand the 8992 messaging system works;

Broadcasting in the clear on shortwave, security is obtained by what appears to be some form of the well known "one time pad" system.
For those unfamiliar with that concept, letters and number are replaced with other letters or numbers, sometimes even substituting complete words.
NOTE: An internet search for "one time pad" will provide you with lots of information.

Since anyone can hear the 8992 messages, security has to be created through coding of the text.

It appears that these messages are intended for airplanes, ships and land based stations, worldwide.on a 24/7 basis. Since foreign languages have been observed on 8992 et al frequencies, one might intentionally assume that the listening audience also includes (unvetted ?) allies in different countries worldwide.

This would mean, that very large numbers of people must have access to these codes and not all may have our best interest in mind.
Security usually is obtained through frequent changing of the codes, however they must always be provided in advance to all.

And here is where the age old battle between integrity and greed rears its ugly head.
Lately the term leaker has become popular, in the olden days the word used was traitor. Loyalty is often defined by such things as "the highest bidder", disgruntled employee or even religion.

I cannot help but wonder who all can "read" the 8992 messages. In the meantime I could clearly hear the most recent messages on 6 different frequencies.

We live in interesting times ......

Please feel free to correct me in my thinking, this is how I learn.

E6 still showing up, but one is always up right? Just may not see it always depicted? I'm trying to learn there.

I don't see anything super interesting, but again, this is a weak spot for me, so let's see if anyone chimes in.
