Just how fast will the Christian cyborgs will feel completely gutted on the inside and just lose the will to fight Skynet at all and willingly become one with Skynet completely believing they're destined to go to Hell no matter what they do now that they're a Borg? I for one really do choose death if this scenario is to really play out in real life.

Not really. Religion and logic programming are not dissimilar. You create a baseline of assumptions and logic circuits that are to be followed, regardless of what input you are given. Faith is the same to an extent.

Yeah really. In the Star Trek series religion is a core principle to The Borg. Well that's misleading actually. I am meaning to many of the species that were forced to join the Borg as new Borg their religions prohibited Borg-like technologies from becoming an essential way of life. This isn't a stated thing in all of the series' many, many Borg episodes. It's an observation of mine about how alot of alien species in-series viewed the Borg in comparison to their own people.

Heck, immortality isn't even a real thing with the Borg either. Many social media people have such an emotional disability to delete a deceased loved one's social media profile or profiles that they'll memorialize them that way. So what happens when the EMPs finally take away social media? Those people will lose their fricken minds almost instantly since they're always on the verge of losing their minds no matter what. What happens with The Borg upon physical death? All of your memories are shared amongst The Borg. Everything that was you was stolen from you once you became a Borg. So to me your memories in the Borg Collective is just one super elaborate way of public humiliating the dead Borg.

The AI Quantum interface is a huge issue. Emp might be able to equalize, but if the D wave had the capacity equal to 7 billion human brains several years ago, it might be capable of self-powering.

I mean, Tesla basically figured out how to power things from the air. No one has done it since, but if the assertion of capacity is close to accurate, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the quantum AI could make it happen.

An EMP will not stop the evolution of intelligence. Progress has already been made in true AI, wet hardware. EMPs will not affect them anymore than it will you. Life on Earth progresses, intelligence finds new forms. That is the way of all things.

But if you really want to be sure ......shoot your toaster!

If nanotech truly reaches a "breakout point", life on Earth will change. Better or worse? Who knows? If it gets to that point, there is no stopping it. EMP will not work. The wavelengths involved will not build enough critical energy in any one unit to cause disruption. Just as it does not affect biological nanotech (cellular development). The possibility of Nano "factories" disassembling and reassembling both organic and inorganic structures is awesome, in the true sense of the word.

Yup.

In truth, the nano breakout may be no different than any other evolutionary jump. Future generations may spend centuries looking for the "missing link".

The "black goo" is something else entirely. It's been depicted in many horror movies, both modern and decades' old as an apparent highly Corrupting liquid. Meaning you'll gain "super powers", but you'll lose your Humanity for all eternity with enough "black goo".

Black Goo is a metaphor for the corruption of the soul. This is a spiritual issue as opposed to Grey Goo which is a technological matter, reflecting a nanotech breakout wherein nanotech factories begin to reassemble matter toward a new plan, guided or unguided.
