My uncle's business in Koreatown was set on fire and completely destroyed, during the L.A. Riots...and, for him (and his immediate family, who were present at the time), it was an even more terrifying experience than his military service in Vietnam.

To this day, they've still never completely recovered from the financial losses and trauma that they incurred.

Korean-Americans suffered the worst, due to the riots, followed by many Caucasian and Hispanic people.

I literally cannot express in words the profound anger and horror that I feel, reading Rep. Maxine Waters' statements. She is a vile and disturbed human being, and it is an outrage that she still holds public office, despite all of the sick things that she's said -- and continues to say.

And millions of older Americans look back on segregation as America's golden age.

I see hate spewed against Trump and this filth gets elected and not a peep from any of the haters. There's no hope. The millenials are plugged into the propaganda machine and the future is grim.

Thanks for sharing your uncle's experience during the L.A. Riots, sad to see his business destroyed by the riots. I remember watching the news reports about many of Koreans fighting back to protect their business. BTW, My Korean step-mother is from that area and I use to work in Koreatown on Jefferson Boulevard and knew many of the business owners.
